C60 Trident Pro 600 Spring Bars - Curved Or Straight

Post by malvern_man »

Hi,

Does anyone know if the new C60 Trident Pro 600 on a leather strap uses curved or straight spring bars.

Regards,

Chris.

The leather straps use a curved spring bar. The silicone and bracelet use a straight spring bar.

Thanks Kip.

This may sound like a stupid question but if I want to fit a straight ended strap do I just substitute the curved spring bars for 22mm straight ones?

If so, will my spare 22mm Hirsch spring bars be ok to use.

The reason I ask is that on some watches ( my Pan Europ Chrono for example ) the spring bar holes are very close to the case body and you can't use straight bars.

Regards,

Chris.

22mm curved can indeed be substituted for 22mm straight.

The c60 will quite happily accept 22mm Hirsch Straps/ springbars. In fact, they look bloody good!

As the man says, no issues using straight ended straps with straight spring bars. The curved ones are need for the curved end straps.

Does this mean that, in reverse, one could buy a 22mm curved end CWL strap, with bader buckle and curved spring bars, and then fit it to any other 22mm CWL watch e.g. C8 or C7/C70?

Just a thought as I like varying my straps.

Hi Guy.

The newer curved end straps will be able to be fitted onto other cases with 22mm lugs.

The 22mm "fitted" end straps (the c60 leather for example) may or may not fit depending on the position of the spring bar holes in the lugs.

You're on the same wavelength Nick.

The new curved end straps are the next best to 'fitted' but way more flexible.

I once tried a fitted strap from my C40 on a C60 and the fit was not correct.
