C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
Can anyone confirm that the current generation C60 Trident Pro 300 - 40mm - Green Dial has the applied logo as opposed to the painted logo? The pictures on CW's website seems to suggest that it doesn't, but it shows it in all of the other pictures for the 40mm variants.
Any confirmation would be great.
Thanks!

Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial
Update...
Just received the watch and it is indeed a painted logo as opposed to the applied metal looking logo that the rest of the 40mm Trident Pro 300's have. Does anyone know why the green dial is the only 40mm without the applied?
Are they just getting rid of old inventory before converting over to the applied logo?
It shouldn't be that big of a deal but it really has me considering returning the watch.

I just looked at the website and the green one does look painted as you suggested.
The only people who can tell you why are those at CW.
If it’s an issue send them an email: addresses are the first item in this thread (Matthew Thomas might be your best bet)

IMO this is most definitely something you should have discussed directly with CW preferably before putting an order in and thus not getting into the situation that you are now in.
Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
Thanks for the customer service information. I will try reaching out to Matt.
The reason I am frustrated by this is because I did reach out before ordering and receive the attached confirmation from CW...

Only you can make that decision. No need to wear it while you decide though and thus limit your chance of a refund. It shouldn't be that big of a deal but it really has me considering returning the watch.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial
CW has been working on a rolling programme of updating the Logo from painted to applied on all their watches for some time now. Basically only changing to applied once they have sold out of the painted version. I guess the 40mm Green dial C60 300 is one of the last to happen.Jwj5133 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 12:21 am Update...

Arguably you have received what you ordered, as per the photos on the website. However, this is in contradiction to the advice you were given by Aimee on Oct 1st.
Objectively you now need to decide whether you wish to keep the watch and / or whether you want to take issue with CW over this contradiction.
That's up to you. Good luck.

From what you’ve said, I think you need to return it and ask for an applied logo model in exchange. Otherwise it will always rankle.

Before you return it, I would really decide what attracted you to the watch in the first place. If it is the green dial, I would consider holding on to it. There is no guarantee that the green will ever get the new dial treatment. It may just be discontinued as a slow seller. There is a reason that it is the last of the models to be transitioned over. I would not be surprised if and when they sell out they just quietly go away.

Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
FWIW, here's the logic I would apply:
1. Did I buy it only because I was told it would have the applied logo? If yes, send it back.
2. Would I have bought it anyway if the answer from CW had been that it was painted? If yes, keep it.
I agree with @rkovars that you should also consider whether an applied logo version even exists to swap it out for. Also, if I correctly interpret the timeline of your question to CW and your post here, it seems that by 15th November you still had some doubts that it was going to be an applied logo despite being told by customer services on 1st October that it would be. If I read into that correctly, it might be that the answer to question 2 above would be "yes".

Regardless of whether you keep it or not, CW should be informed that they gave out erroneous information.

Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
I’d also suggest you live with the watch for a bit before deciding on returning it. I don’t have a green C60, but I was quite drawn to the C65 Aquitaine in green. I’m glad I acted sooner as the green color has since been discontinued from the line. Waffling may have meant I’d have missed out.
For some people certain details matter that differ from the details that concern other people. I have a variety of CW logo style among my watches. The logo is part of why I enjoy the watch yet I find I don’t notice the various iterations of the logo.

Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
I would reach out to ask why you don't have the version they said they would send.
They might clarify what the situation is and you can make a decision from there. Either you'll get the one you thought or at least a bit of an apology for the confusion, maybe...
If they really want to prove good customer service and rectify a small mistake they may give you a small discount on what you bought or offer a credit on something else like a strap.
At the very least it may lead to this not happening to others.
I would recommend keeping it as stickered up as possible as the alternative scenario is that you return it, they say it is scratched and issue a reduced refund - all for a watch you didn't quite expect - absurd but as possible as the other outcomes!

@Jwj5133 Please report back because it might help others to know if the green is going to quietly disappear or if they are actually going to restock with the applied logo.A1soknownas wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:21 pm I would reach out to ask why you don't have the version they said they would send.
Re: C60 Trident Pro 300 40mm - Green Dial Logo Issue
Update: I received confirmation from customer support that this model will be rolled over to the applied logo once the current stock is sold out, so I will be returning my current order and waiting a little longer.
Thanks for all the feedback.
