I've been going back and forth on this subject as well, but I think at the end of the day, I just like the looks of the C60 more. Let us know about the Ocean 1 when you get it.

For those pursuing a Steinhart Ocean 1 Black........... Pre-owned and watch is in Denmark which I think makes it VAT friendly for the UK forumites......

I went for the Ocean Red. Forget the terms of delivery; it was here within days. Oddly enough I made the ecision away from the web. At work (or play) on the day I just decided to get the Steinhart. I was after a C20 Lido but the 10% hike put me off. I was looking at Deep Bleu also but the reviews swung it for me.

I set the time when it arrived and it has remained constant since. I was off that week and when I returned to work a few colleagues were expecting to see it but it was news to another. He is approaching a milestone birthday and was looking to add the Submariner to his collection but after some consideration he might spread the love over a few sites.

And why not?

I had the exact same dilemma a couple of months ago.

Now im waiting patiently for the delivery of my C60.

I'm not too sure if it's CW's great website layout and pictures, but the C60 just spoke out to me more.

(I kid, after researching, reading up on other's opinions, reading CW's warranty, vision for his products etc, I decided the C60 was right for me).

The Steinhart wins out over the C60 for me just because the date text is aligned with the rest... the off-set and rotated date on the C60 would annoy me to distraction!

I'm more than happy with my C60 FLE blue. That Tissot looks like a good watch for the money. I guess they have economies of scale on their side

Current certnina watches are somewhat lacking in quaility and originality compared to its older models, i just dislike the finish,

As for the C60 vs the SO1.

I really want to like steinhart, but the watch is 2 lines of text away from a fake rolex...
The C60 atleast has its own personality, its a mix of a rolex submariner and the bremont supermarine but atleast its something with an original form to it.

what about the ocean 2?

more original looking than either the ocean 1 or the CW... and it has a much more curved case/lugs than the ocean 1, so fits nicely onto a smaller wrist. Now that its available on bracelet as well, its a much better proposition IMHO.

I think its a superb looking watch:

I have the Ocean Vintage GMT on it's way to me this week: http://www.steinhartwatches.de/de/OCEAN ... T,339.html

for that explorer II look. Then I'm thinking C60 next. Leaning towards Charcoal or one of the orange c60GMTs.

I ownedthe Steinahrt and while I think it is a great watch, I like the style of the C60 a little better.

How do Grovana diver watches compare to Steinhart Ocean? Not interested in buying but price looked good on Amazon (see link below). Just wandered!

Too Rolex Sub for me..... not that the C60 is a world away from it but still.... can't knock the price though but no idea about quality of Grovana watches (first I've heard of them).

Grovana does come up now and again but I am not aware of anyone on this forum that has bought one. They are linked with Revue Thommen as well.
Here is a very old post about them from 2007 http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... ?f=4&t=547

From 2008 with a lot of pictures taking the watch apart - http://forums.watchuseek.com/f67/grovan ... 71386.html

If you want a cheap auto Sub homage then Amazon have these Invictas at under £80. Japanese automatics which probably means Miyota.
