C60 Trident: any new color options looming?

Post by thomcat00 »

With the pending C65 Aquitaine launch less than a week away, what are people’s thoughts on a possible mild refresh of the C60 Trident well in advance of any Mk4? CW has offered the C60 in different colors in the past. I know the red bezel is retired for cost/supply concerns. We’ve seen green bezels, orange bezels, and with the current black, blue, or white dials, it seems to me the brand could extend the combinations just a bit more to freshen up the options beyond what’s currently available. Anyone else interested in different color schemes for the venerable Trident? If so, what colorways would you like to see?

I would love a two tone c60 GMT bezel like the C65 had.

By the way, which grade Sellita SW200-1 are used by CW?

Is there a place i can check all details for a CW watch? I think i've read about an archive, but can't find it myself.

Thank you in advance.

Here’s a post made by Kip in 2018. I doubt whether standards will have been reduced since then.

Here is the Archive. Have fun.

Interested to see some steel bezel options, a bit like the c60 sapphires but with a non-sapphire dial. Also perhaps a reverse of the black dial/red bezel look with red dial/black bezel?

Steel-sapphire C60s look great, and it would be an easy step to solid dials. The red dial and black bezel sounds appealing.

I’ve seen people ask for a green dialed version again, like the MK1 offered.

Maybe a white dial/green bezel GMT. This is one of my all time favorite color combos!

I'd like to see a dark blue (royal/navy blue cross) with white dial, and red seconds hand.
The CWE group made a fantastic C60 Mk2 in this scheme.
A Matt orange with steel bezel would be super cool to.

A black, blue, and white core to the range is of course a great base. But having some exciting colours that aren't LE's, but aren't necessarily in in large numbers either adds some sass to the range.

Aside from various suggestions for coloured dials and/or bezels, I’d love to see the white dialled models fitted with either black or blue edged hands. Visibility wins….

That’s my one reservation with the white dialed Sealanders - do the gunmetal hands and indices provide enough contrast? The consensus from owners seems to be yes, and in some picks the contrast looks really strong. But then in other pics it doesn’t look nearly as strong.

I’d love to see an anthracite gray - that would be cool!
