C60 Trident 38mm, how does it wear? Size comparisons?

Thanks all for the suggestions - I will go for the 38mm! Hopefully there will be a discount near the Father’s Day

Your photos are great! May I know if you adjusted the original bracelet size of the Trident?DISJT wrote:My wrist is 16.5cm (with the dressmakers tape, tightly wrapped around the hand side of my wrist bone.)
I initially tried the 43mm trident and it was like a dinner plate on my wrist.
Now they say a picture is worth a thousand words , (my photgraphy isn't worth much tho)
Here are my 38mm tridents on my wrist..
40mm Dan Henry on same wrist
42mm SKX009 on same wrist
comparison to a 40mm Orient Bambino..
Cheers,
Sam

Cheers Sam, I didn't adjust my bracelets personally but took them to a local independent jeweller, they have done a few for free and charged £2.50 to do the others. Worth the tiny fee to avoid risking damage myself.
I've had 4 links removed from each. This leaves the bracelets slightly too tight but I then use the incredible CW ratchet dive extension to get the perfect fit. There are 5 different positions, no tools are needed and it takes less than a second to adjust. (you push a small metal tab to one side and push/pull the bracelet the desired number of clicks on the ratchet) It also gives you the ability to adjust the bracelet depending on body temperature, when your wrist will swell slightly, for a perfect fit. This is not given anywhere near the credit / attention it deserves. It's a fantastic system. ( I am fully aware this isn't its primary design purpose, it's meant to be, to allow fitment over a wetsuit but I'm betting it gets more use in the way I describe. )

That's a good idea, however I don't really consider the 43mm an option. My previous diver and also the biggest watch I've owned was the SKX007 and I sold it because I thought it was too big for my taste. Mind you that the SKX is 42mm and wears quite small thanks to the 46mm L2L.DISJT wrote:Although the OP never mentioned the 43mm, the 60/60 would allow him to order both and try them as a direct comparison (assuming he didn't mind the initial outlay for 2 watches)
I probably won't go over 40mm. Other options I've considered besides the 38mm C60 are Squale 1545, NTH Subs, Lorier Neptune and Seiko SRPC35 (Mini Turtle). I also like the look of Dan Henry 1970, but I'd prefer something with a bracelet. The SKX013 was an initial consideration as well, but the bracelet would need to be one that I could actually use for diving (diver's extension), plus hacking and hand-winding are nice features to have.

Re: C60 Trident 38mm, how does it wear? Size comparisons?
I've owned an SKX007 and 009 and they were on the limit of where I felt comfortable size wise. The 43mm Trident seemed substantially bigger for the brief period I had one in my possession.
I'm very happy with my Dan Henry 1970, its a fantastic watch for a great price. I would say that the quality / feel of the Tridents blow it out of the water though. (admittedly at a hefty premium)

Granted, the Tridents are a step up in price from the other watches on my shortlist, but everything I've read so far suggests that they are worth the price in terms of quality and feel, and then some. So I'd still be getting a lot of watch for the money.DISJT wrote:I've owned an SKX007 and 009 and they were on the limit of where I felt comfortable size wise. I think I'll give the 38mm C60 a go. I'll just need an excuse to splurge on a another watch, but luckily I have my birthday coming up in June...
