It was the same for me. But I did give in. Got to say I'm delighted. But what you put was my main grip too!!
Glad it worked out for you! There are so many watches out there that have instant appeal for me that I just can't bring myself to buy a C60 with an onion hand.........yet.

I disagree though about the Water Resistance issue, whether we actually use our 'divers' for diving, I feel that to make a 'diver' that is not water resistant for purpose (diving) would cheapen the brand/C60 concept.

The original metal bracelet that CW provided did not have a divers extension clasp, which was a gripe among some, now CW have resolved this issue to make it more a "proper" Diver, so I can't see them moving back to making the C60 more dress/fashion than functional Diver?

The website describes it saying "is a premium diving watch............."

Anyway, it's a best seller - and more importantly seems to make a lot of people happy - I just need to get over the hour hand and maybe someday I will join the club............... :)

Edit: Yes, I use all my Divers for Diving!

Definitely as an option as I appreciate there are Divers like yourself, diver69 and others about.

A grand canyon between the C60 and an 8500 PO (that's why one is 5 grand and the other is 500 USD). I started another thread where I gave my thoughts about what it would take to compete with a PO, but caseback, ceramic bezel, double side ar, and nicer crown were my starting points.
I always thought the C60 was trying to be a more affordable alternative to the Non-Ceramic Omega Seamaster Bond. I'm not exactly sure the quality differences between the Bond and Planet Ocean but from what I've read the PO is nicer.

Yes, I know it's a diver but I'll bet the majority of them never see water anyway.
Plus, a see-through case-back is so much nicer because the back of the Trident, while nice, is not really that great compared to other watches. It's fun to look at but not terribly impressive.

:-k If you could take the C60 and change it all around to the way that you like it....guaranteed that at least half the people that see it would like it, but would suggest changes.

Funny how this subjective stuff works. :-k :)

i wonder how much cost it would add to change the engraved case back to an embossed case back. i'm not sure how much extra i'd pay for that, but it's definitely something that speaks to a higher quality when you look at it.

Number one for me is a display back.
Close second is a ceramic or sapphire Bezel.
And last not really a c60 change but a non fitted leather strap with white stitching with a deployment clasp.

I would love to see a no date version, not get rid of date on all C60s, I would like to own both options. As for the change, the bracelet, love the look but would much prefer if it didn't taper down and had a little more weight to balance it on my wrist.

I totally agree, but some watches I own I wouldn't change anything, but I think that's more driven by brand. With my Seamaster I love everything about it.

For me, it would be the fact that there in addition to the circular hour markers, there are lume dots on the outer hash marks! It's needlessly redundant. Otherwise, I'm fine with the onion hour hand and date being where it is now.

I would like a seethrough back, a bracelet with only mat finish (no shiny parts), no diver extension, other hour hand and a better lume. That makes four things I would change if I could.
Why I buy watches? It makes me think I am buying time :)

I think the better question is, even with the list of things you would change, if you own it would you buy another?

My answer is yes yes yes.

Or, Would you sell it for the list of things you would change?

I think most (but not all) would agree with me, no no no.

No I wouldn't sell the one I have but I would buy another with my list. And if it came to I had to sell my current to get my c60 with my adjustment list I would. With that said my list has nothing to do with the styling of the watch. Just upgrades to the Bezel, case back, and leather strap.

I've always found the hands to be a bit heavy for the dial!

I'd love the blue dial/face one but the hand just make me shiver

I would change the design of the hands and hour markers. The hour hand, minute hand, second hand, and indices look good individually, but do not form a cohesive group. The indices are round and rectangular. The minute hand is a straight sided sword with a curved tip. The bulbous hour hand reminds me of a spade rather than an onion.
The red tipped second hand looks like an afterthought without red elsewhere on the watch. A red surround on the date window might do it. Let's not forget the trident on the back of the second hand.

I'd also delete the water resistance rating and movement description from the front of the watch. I have never liked it when companies clutter the front of a device; watch or otherwise, with specs. I'd also consider removing the name too unless that would make it look too empty. The water resistance rating can go on the back.

These are minor quibbles about a still great-looking watch.
