Having had the first call with Mike & Declan, and having paid for #11 straight after that call, and having been promised that mine was in the first batch of 30, I'm finding the lack of information from CW regarding my delivery very frustrating. I've been promised an update several times now but the silence is deafening.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, but the lack of communication on this purchase hasn't been my usual CW experience.

Found it! I agree, it looks better. Some macro shots of the actual watch a few pages back made it look black and I thought it looked better.

If yes - pay, take delivery and flip at a premium.

If no - cancel order.

Neil
Not sure these would be pay at delivery, if they’re pre-orders… maybe for delivery in 4 months they would be, but more sure…

But yes, I’m sure some have been bought for flipping… how much return they’d actually seen on these I have no idea :problem:

I pre-ordered mine for delivery after Christmas and can confirm that payment is not delayed to take account of scheduled delivery so by the time mine arrives I'll have made several paypal monthly payments.

Maybe (just kidding) I'll take a leaf out of the Rolex Flipper Handbook and flip for oh about seven grand?
Pete I get it that’s the case with PayPal, but for a normal credit card transaction, my recollection is the charge only goes through when an item is shipped?

I believe that used to be their policy, but checking their current FAQ it states you will be charged up front:

What does ‘pre-order’ mean?
It means that this watch isn’t ready yet and is still under construction at our atelier in Switzerland. The ‘pre-order date’ is the date we expect it to be ready to ship to customers. You will be charged upfront for this purchase.

^^^ thanks.

That’s good to hear. Certainly reduces the chances of someone going for one as a potential flip.

Hopefully means the watches will end up with those that want to keep and wear.

I hadn’t looked at the T&Cs as I tend not to order stuff that isn’t in stock, where I have less control over the delivery date.

Like you, I've also pre-ordered (in my case number 66)... however, I was distinctly told it wouldn't be shipping before early/mid December (the second batch I believe), so I'm not currently too worried. Of course I would like to see it for Christmas if possible

Well that's a very impressive result for CW. Congratulations.

I think others have pointed out that at some point there may be some very interesting prototypes around.

Congratulations to CW for selling through the run so quickly. While I would like to have gotten a Concept, I knew I was already well past my own budget satisfying other wants this year. Hope all those who have it are awaiting delivery are pleased with their watches.
