I really wanted to see photos of it out of a studio and in the real world, so it's fabulous to finally see it under real light. I notice you didn't take a straight on photo while wearing it though - how much of your wrist is visible?
Thanks - that’s purely down to reflections. Honest!
Rich.

Thanks for the real world photos, Rich.

Actually the wrist shots included above make it look closer to the wrist than you would think, based on the amount of watch below the waterline, as it were.

Personally, I feel that 16mm just "sounds" very tall for a 3-hander. My thickest watches are both chronographs - my C7 Rapide Chrono, and my Montblanc Timewalker Chrono, both around 14mm, and they both wear fine on my wrist. It's a big step to buy a concept just to try it out for size.

I wonder how much height could have been shaved off by making it handwound. I doubt anyone owning a watch like this would mind hand winding it. I know I wouldn't.

I agree with both points. The term stunning is thrown around far too easily, and this watch is absolutely stunning! With how impressive it looks in the pics, I can only imagine how much more so it is in the metal!

biggus_richus wrote: Fri Nov 05, 2021 12:33 pm If I were to pick one hole, it’s that I don’t think the rear lives up to the face. Losing the rotor would slim it down and expose the movement as gloriously as the front.
This is precisely why I’d love to see something like this done as a C1 model. A dress model doesn’t require a screw down crown they way a proper dive watch needs one. Make it hand wound & lose the rotor, put it in a C1 case with no bezel to distract from the movement, and let me just revel in the execution of this skeleton movement!

Thanks for sharing the pics. It is truly a stunning watch!

Do be careful where and to whom you say that. In the wrong place and at the wrong time it could earn you a smack in the chops!

Congratulations on the watch – looks superb.

I've read quite a few hot takes around this watch, but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest!

Thegreyman wrote: Fri Nov 05, 2021 12:39 pm Congratulations Rich, it's an outstanding watch for sure.

My only reservations, having a slim wrist, are the size both the L2L and height. How do you find that compared to other watches, what is your wrist size if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks Patrick, and not at all; I’m in the 6.25” to 6.5” spaghetti zone.

I think, thanks to the shorter lug-to-lug of the mk3, I just about get away with it on the strap. I’m not certain I would on the bracelet, and I felt the same way about the 43mm mk2. This carries a fair bit of bulk beneath its lug holes which helps to disguise its thickness on the wrist. Pictured below, side by side with a 38mm mk2 - the Concept head is actually 5g lighter!

In truth though, for this watch, I couldn’t give a flying one about size, it’s just too spectacular!
Congratulations again Rich, and made me realise how much I miss my vintage.....
