I'll second that.
Absolutely love it, and in the 40mm size which is the ideal size for my wrist varies between 7.15 and 7.25 inches. The 40mm Mk3 C60 watches are the only ones on stainless bracelet, that enable me to have the extension sat mid way most of the time for adjustment in and out if needed during hot or cold weather etc.

Superb looking time piece and great value for money!

Yeah this is a tough one. I typically only wear 41mm and up. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and anything smaller doesn't look right on me but that's just my preference. I may have to reconsider, just don't want to regret it later.
Over the years I have learned to throw out all of the 'rules' on sizing. Pretty much the only measurement that matters is lug to lug. I am also a 7.5 in wrist). Wrist shape also plays a part as your arm isn't a circle. It is more like an oval. The lug to lug shouldn't be longer than the top of your wrist to be comfortable. My GMT-Master has a 38mm case. Doesn't look any different than the Ombre (42mm) to me. As a side note the most noticeable dimension to me is thickness. My 1675 is 12mm and the Ombre is 13.4mm. You would think 1mm in height wouldn't make much of a difference but it is noticeable to me.

I've just settled on - I don't make a final determination until I try it on. This one will be a breeze to try out with the 60/60 on the strap (which looks amazing and I would definitely go with this option).

Normally I look at the new releases and say that nothing really floats my boat. I like this one. I really like it. Whether I will buy it is another question, and one that I suppose I shall have to answer fairly quickly. I just don’t think I’m in the mood to dispose of any of my current collection, and although it is a lovely bright shiny new thing I don’t really think I need it.
We don't "need" any of our watches, Steve! Don't let that stop you from buying what you want, subject to financial considerations of course.

I must say that I am sorely tempted by this, with the voucher it brings it down to less than £800. I might inquire about whether you can choose a specific number.

Give them a call! They let me choose a specific serial number with the C65 AM GT Limited Edition. I called and spoke with a customer service rep who noted the number I wanted so that it would be held for me. Then I followed up with customer service about it after I placed my order. They wound up sending out the wrong number, but they rectified that quickly for me.

I really like this and people clearly like the watch and cause. Unfortunately it’s too close to my blue Elite 1000 to consider. Like lochinvar, I’ll admire from afar

I've bitten the bullet and pre-ordered. I work in the Merchant Navy - this is closet watch that CW have produced in recent times that would suit my profession. It looks to be a beautiful watch overall. Good collaboration with BLUE too.

It doesn’t work like that with me anymore, John. Financially it would be fine, but if I really wanted it I would probably have ordered it yesterday. The instant hit can be dangerous and I have learnt to take a step back and ask questions. It wouldn’t particularly add anything to my collection at the moment. I can admire, perhaps even desire, but not actually require.

Anyone else noticed that the face of this watch differs in the photo's from going across the watch to a circle within the minute markers?

I like the watch within the markers, not right across it.

Very tempted, but how am i going to hide a £1000 watch from her when I have just ordered a Bremont? Advice required...... I have a very weak argument that it could replace my "Orange Monster" when it next dies....so could hide until then? trouble is she knows when I'm lying....it's tough being married to a Police officer....

That's sort of what I did. I contacted Declan first and then CWCS. So my preferred serial number has been pre-ordered. One thing you should remember is that CW don't necessarily make watches in SN order so you may have a longer wait than you expect before your serial number gets made. Or you could get lucky and it's in the first batch. I expect to wait a long time though... Still it means I won't have to write the review for a long time either.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how tastefully all the elements hang together on this watch.

The waves on the dial make it much nicer than the C60 Sapphire. I didn't really like the nakedness of the unfinished movement showing through the Sapphire dial. In contrast, the waves in BLUE hide some of that unfinished surface and the bits of the movement that peek through between the waves are more than enough to satisfy that particular novelty look.

Then you have the light blue colour of the seconds hand and bezel markings, etc. Very nice.

Doesn't mean I'm going to get it though - C60 fatigue.

I think I follow your point about the waves on the dial only being "a circle within the minute markers?" which is as they, the waves, appear at a quick glance as in this picture.

Image

However, if you look closely the waves are across the full width of the dial.

The reason behind this ('scuse the pun) is the centre circle has a bright, metallic background, whereas the outer circle within the bounds of the markers, has the dark background of the date wheel against which the waves are less visible.

Make sense?

Oh, and your argument about replacing your Orange Monster is definitely weak; they never die.

I think this is the first CW where the word mark really suits the design. Kudos to CW, wonder when we'll start seeing the first owner wrist shots!

For clarity, a screenshot of the email I received; presumably the same one.
