C60 Apex #001/100

Post by Clach77 »

I arrived home today to find this waiting for me. Which was unexpected as DPD’s tracking has clearly failed!

For once I’ve not rushed to adjust anything. I wanted to take my time to be sure this was a keeper. So a try-on, photo then off again. But I’m fairly certain it’s a keeper. :D

I love the look. The details are outstanding. And the black date wheel which I thought might bother me just doesn’t. I am one very happy customer. Oh, and I got the serial number agreed with Chris in an Edinburgh pub. :)

As ever, my photos don’t do the watch justice.

Congratulations, Alex. I doubt there had been a more avid fan and collector of C60s over the years than yourself, so I think it's very appropriate that you should get #1.

It's a cracking watch and I really hope you enjoy wearing it.

I hope mine arrives in New Jersey soon. I haven't had any tracking information either. I suspect my first warning will be when I get a notice from DHL saying I need to pay them some money.
Great pictures and congratulations on getting an auspicious number.

Congratulations, it's definitely a stand out piece and I enjoyed trying it on at the London GTG.

Thank you Richard. I’m looking at it now and it feels lighter than my C60 MkII COSCs. Not a bad thing, but a surprise.

Congratulations, whilst appreciating the technical aspects of the watch it isn't visually for me, however that's part of the fun of the forum having different tastes, That said the caseback is just fab and I would be sat all day just staring at it.
Cool getting number 1 and hope you have enjoyment wearing it, and more importantly perhaps showing it off!

Johnny - life would be dull if we all liked the same stuff. And the selection of watches to buy would be much smaller.

Thank you Ferg. It’s been a expensive purchase, but feels ‘worth it’. Mad as it sounds. :D

The lumed date is good, but I find it quite hard to read the rest of the time. Not impossible, but it certainly takes a second look.

I wasn’t a massive fan of this on the blue strap and thought it looked a little gimmicky with this colour palate. I probably would like a more muted version with black, greys and white with brushed and polished surfaces.

However, on the bracelet it offers more balance and looks so much better and the 2 tone lume and date feature is excellent.

Enjoy the watch!
