C60 Abyss SH21
C60 Abyss SH21
Good evening, I have been watching this on eBay for a while now and wondering if anyone here is the seller ? Has 37 watchers . From what I can gather this is a early example as has 600m depth on dial I believe this was a error as later ones say 300m

According to the archives - that was indeed a mistake and recalled for dial replacement. Not sure if you get that one if CW will still replace the dial. But it could be a collectible discussion piece.
Wonder if they are worth more - much like coins/bills, where an error in pressing/printing could render them more valuable.

Early models were shipped with dials and manuals that stated 60 ATM rating. These were recalled and dials replaced. The case back rating of 30 ATM is correct.
The manual (Handbook) we show in the CWArchive states the incorrect rating of 60ATM.

Er not significantly, no. Some of us definitely don't want a watch with "a fault", some of us enjoy the quirkiness but generally not unless you can persuade every chancer on the internet that here's a unicorn's tail which could be worth something. And I don't just mean CW watch enthusiasts.RegGuyAl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 7:43 pm According to the archives - that was indeed a mistake and recalled for dial replacement. The better news is that demand for the Abyss models never seems quite as strong as for the non-Abyss equivalents so resales sometimes take longer and it is sometimes possible to pick them at slightly lower prices: I guess they're a bit marmite? Now that I've said that every chancer on the internet is going to jump on the bandwagon

CW watch count - enough to keep me very happy, but always room for more!
Re: C60 Abyss SH21
My wife bought me one of these when they were released but i ended up sending it back as its a really dark face in the flesh.
A lovely looking watch though.

I also bought one but then sold it, I liked the stealth appearance however the legibility was too poor for me, perhaps i should have realised this would be the case.

Re: C60 Abyss SH21
@Thegreyman I believe the dial and hands may have been more at fault than the case.

You could say legibility was abyssmal.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 7:43 pm

^^^ I tried one on at a GTG and discovered it was very easy to tell the time, but only on a day that didn’t end in Y in a month with K in it. And I wasn’t in Germany or the Netherlands!
