I like PVD and the original C40 is a good flagship offering from CW, but IMHO the dial just doesn't go with a PVD watch.

I think a PVD watch should have an understated, one colour, matt dial, not all the trimmings this has.

That said - Chris usually knows what he is doing and he got the vibes from Basle, so I will wait and see.
I disagree, don't know about PVD but the black bezzel is such an improvement on the silver. The watch doesn't look all bezel now which the original tends to do. Looks more balanced IMHO. :)

I know what you mean with that....the tachy scale is more prominent now and isn't overpowered by the bezel so much, so I think it has a more balanced look :)

I think this looks better than the original, but not enough to make me want it.
BUT
I reserve the right to change my mind once I've seen some proper pictures of it.

<edit> actually, to be fair, the picture on the homepage is pretty good - well above a standard that I can justify moaning about.

Yeah, I didn't much like the original but this is pretty nice, especially now the face is much more balanced...
Hmmm...
Nah, I need to save for the C9 and Trident!

I have to say I like this, the bezel being black just seems to make it look a lot better :)

Now I wonder if there will be a rubber strap version or a leather strap one?

I also think the C40 looks a lot better as an all balck watch...hides that terrible bezel!

However CW is still not getting my £600, I'm holding out for some of the newer models to be released later this year and the new Stowa Chronograph which I think is stunning

The website photos loook like they have been photo-shopped from the steel so live photographs would be great.

To me the watch face is somewhat ornate, and the matt balck is very macho - I am not sure about the combination. Also not sure about the red on the chronograph buttons against the matt black....

An option of a leather strap would be better. Never was a big fan of the CW bracelet and a strap would lighten the load on the wallet too.

I do like the PVD one, but agree with Bigvic that the ones with the leather straps are very nice.

I have noticed that the picture in the post start has more red details than the one on the CW site.
I think I like the red details better....

Looks like the same picture to me? Which red bits are missing on the CW site version?
