I am afraid things are not looking good for the venerable C2/C20 series.

Re: C20 Lido
Do you think it's just down to a slowing of sales, or the fact the C65 is thought to adequately cover this 'style' of watch? Curious, as I found the C20 to be one of the more 'original' and desirable pieces in the CWL collection.Kip wrote:I am afraid things are not looking good for the venerable C2/C20 series.

I think it is both, plus the natural evolution of the line overall.

Thanks Kip, glad I got one when I did then! Perhaps we'll see used prices soaringKip wrote:I think it is both, plus the natural evolution of the line overall.

Re: C20 Lido
I think the mismatched bracelet killed sales. They're clearly taking the taco bell approach to the lineup - new items are just recombinations of existing parts.teestech wrote:Do you think it's just down to a slowing of sales, or the fact the C65 is thought to adequately cover this 'style' of watch? Re: C20 Lido
While it is true that some new models are derivitives, over the past 2 years several new cases have been introduced.
New models/cases include the C61/W61 38mm, C3/C5 MKII 39mm, C5 Slimline 40mm, C10 40mm, C1000 42mm Ceramic, W11 and W90/900. While some styling may be similar to pre existing models, these are new cases nonetheless. Designing and building new cases is an expensive process. Getting the most mileage by freshening the look or creating new variations is just good business.

You will be a mile away and have his boat!

Re: C20 Lido
I got an answer from Wera from the customer support at Chris Ward´s and the C20 Lido will be one of the watches at this years "summer sale". I will definitely buy one
Re: C20 Lido
Maybe a little bit OT, but how much % discount is the usual deal for the summer sale? 30% ?

Re: C20 Lido
Given it's unique design perhaps I had better order a replacement leather strap to keep for my C2, particularly if they appear in the sale.
