I haven't had confirmation of my cancellation yet, I assume I'll hear from them on Monday (possibly asking if I'm sure I want to cancel).

I do like the design of the watch, but still wonder if it was an impulse / FOMO decision rather than a logical one. Then again I don't think any of my watch purchases have ever been logical, except my G Shock for work!

If they confirm my cancellation that'll open up a space on the waitlist. If they ask me to confirm I definitely want to cancel I'll continue pondering. But I do feel that a skeleton Twelve might be better suited to me :)

^^^ @Chippytea
Your previous post about cancelling was Friday afternoon. They don’t come in at weekends and I suspect Finance Dept. were up to the eyeballs with orders yesterday afternoon.

If it doesn’t process by the end of Monday get in touch.

Appreciate the reply. Happy to wait for them and continue pondering - not CWs fault I'm an impulsive person and happy they have weekends off :)

If they accept the cancellation without questioning me that is absolutely fine. I think the fact I was already questioning my decision means it would be silly to continue with the purchase even if it was to be worth more on arrival. I really do like the look of the fully skeletonised SH21s so will keep an eye on the second hand market for those. I assume there is a marketplace on here I can access after 5 posts so hopefully I can see if there is anything tempting in there!

Even the old Abyss SH21 looks very tempting but I think the Twelve X Steel is still more my style. I just wish they'd kept the date complication but can see why they dropped it in the name of exposing as much of the movement as possible :)

I think white is definitely the best from the videos & reels I've seen.

I’m glad I resisted the urge and that the original drop has sold out. There is a lot to like, but I’d like to see one in the flesh before ordering. Yes, yes 60/60 and all that but that doesn’t work when tying up close to £4k for up to 6 months. I’m on the waitlist. The next drop has a larger volume but obviously timelines are unknown. May pop in to T&T when in London next week and see one.

But presumably not on that hideous white strap!

Of the four current options, white would also be my pick.

I was torn between tween white and black and settled for black, one of the photos of the white looked very 'ali expressy' and I couldn't get that out of my head!

CW got back promptly this morning and did ask for confirmation if I definitely wanted to cancel given the first drop is now sold out.

So, what I've done is agreed to leave it as-is, in the meantime I need to pop down to Time & Tide in London and actually see one in person to see if it wows me. If it does I may well keep it, if not I'll get back to CW, and let them offer mine to someone on the waitlist.

Any excuse for a day out in London, perhaps with a show and some nice food :)

^^^^ Are you sure Time + Tide will have a C12 Loco.

From experience of a visit a few weeks ago, they only have a relatively small selection of the CW range available to be looked at.

It may be better to book a Showroom appointment at CW Towers #2.

I am heading there later today actually (not to see a Loco) but I'm sure they do. See email from last week. I'd be surprised if they have every colour. And I don't know how the "pre-order now" would work given the first batch is sold out.

There was some discussion in CW towers about this and they were not certain Time and Tide were actually getting any. It will be worth a phone call to verify.

Apologies for hijack. On my new PRX the first link of the bracelet doesn’t move. It’s fixed. Looking at 12 pictures, it looks like it also has this “feature”. Is that correct?

^^^^ That's about right.

The first link that butt's up to the case is fixed; but that's the same as any other fitted end link bracelet.

I was beyond excited to see this thing in person, and it completely exceeded my expectations.

The way they've re-engineered the movement to bring the life-organs up to the dial side in a completely symmetrical layout is very appealing to me! This isn't a complication, nor is it an open-heart design, the entire movement architecture has been formatted to celebrate the pure tick-tockiness of a mechanical watch... and I LOVE IT!

There is no doubt this is the brainchild of the same company who made the 'desk diver' and the moonglows, and the Bel Canto, and the 36mm polar GMT... these CW guys just obviously love watches, and they love making watches, and this makes perfect sense from them right now.

It's not trying to seduce you with grand delusions of rose-gold, or Breguet numerals, or silicon, or standing in front of a dozen patents that'll never be used again... It's just showing off for the sake it of saying: "I love being a wristwatch!" ... "check out my escapement bro!". While at the same time... yeah, it's COSC tolerant, yeah it's saphire x3, yeah 2 barrels working in tandem, no big deal...

I've never owned anything like this, but having been a fan of mechanical watches for as long as I can remember, I HAVE to have one!
