C11 HRDC - Can we have an Auto??

Post by Jimleymurmer »

There are mixed reviews on the forum about the C11 HRDC but perhaps controversially, I prefer this execution to the pilot watch style. It has a Chopard feel to it...except it's a Quartz. Now, I have a few quartz watches but don't fancy spending £400 quid on one. What's the chance of CW doing an automatic version??? Would anyone else fancy an auto version of this very watch?

I assume this is a one-off special commission for the HRDC & not a long term model, so an auto version would be unlikely.
Also - is this for HRDC members only, or can anyone buy it?

I think anyone could order it but its out of stock already (assume they have got 100 pre orders) as i looked last week and wondered why it wasnt included in the motorsport watch offer of -15% - even though it is based on an aviation themed c11. :? :silent:

I like the look of the Mercedes C11 - I think the lack of the minutes ticks were the thing which I didn't like about the C11 auto (but liked them on my C11 chrono).

Makes you wonder how many of these "One offs" are out there.... I'm surprised a few haven't shown their faces on E-Bay or watch forum sale sites...

The C11 HRDC is the first watch to have the new logo.

The C11 HRDC is the first watch to have the new logo.
So is one of those C60's... if you want to see what a new logo'd C60 looks like.

The one with "London" below it actually looks ok. However, the Engineers' C60 has a CHR Ward mark without the London below, and it looks horrible.

Clearly I have no principles whatsoever...bought a C11 HRDC June delivery earlier this week. What was all that nonsense about not spending 400 quid on a quartz?
