Yikes I missed out on the blue because i was trying to get some money in place for it, and I missed the green today because i was sleeping. A little advance warning before the green drop would have been preferable.
Why is it so hard to give this company my money?

Green seems better to me in the sense it is the colour of nature and fits better with the songbird. Limited editions seem to be the way to go. It creates the buzz and people want what they cannot have. I would like to see a painted nature dial with the bird sitting on a branch. But see through dials are not for me and I like an easy to read time and date. Still clinging to the idea of a watch being a tool for telling the time rather than jewellery. But this seems to be the way the watch world is going. And a sellout means there will probably be more coming down the line. CW seems to be in a healthy financial position even if some of the offerings are not for me.

Might you consider sending an email to customer service/sales asking to be 1. Shortlisted for any cancelled/returned orders and/or 2. Future production runs asking what they might currently have in mind?

Well the blue one sold out whilst I was at work, the green one sold out whilst I was asleep.
Maybe there will be a red one announced and available when I can do something about it.
I'd go for that but it will probably happen when I am pretending to have a life that doesn't involve looking at watches :)

It's been an extraordinary release, no doubt about it.

Nobody has mentioned the most important detail of this release…

Isn’t verde literally Spanish for green? So the name ā€œverde greenā€ means… ? Unless I’m missing something.

Verde Green means "Green when we're being a bit posh".

Man I’d be kinda ****, the blue is nice, the green is nice too. In AUD these start at $5,000, personally I can’t fathom spending that much on something for an off the rack movement. Fair enough if it was going to be super limited but it doesn’t seem like that will be the case. You can get some amazing Tudors for that money. Each to their own though.

They were very open about more colours following, so I don't understand the dismay from a few. Perhaps because prices won't now shoot up?

I have a blue BB58 which is a similar price to this. Great watch, love it.
But there is a lot more in the complication here than the stepping up of the movement. Very different beasts bought for very different reasons.

Does anyone know if an actual prototype of the green platine exists already, ie that that shade of green is confirmed?

As for the long wait, of course CW have to complete their blue orders first. So the question is who is willing to sign up for the green model at this point in time.
Well I baled out of a blue dial for no better reason than paypal wouldn't let me proceed to purchase on 0% interest stage payments I guess because £.5k would have topped my credit limit. I have privately resolved to settle up with paypal so this won't happen again. At the time of baling out I knew that I was probably kissing goodbye to the same one-time opportunity which accompanied the Concept: the difference there was that I was pretty confident that a dive watch would get wrist time: and so it proved. But a dressy watch with a relatively quiet hourly "ting"? I wasn't so sure.

Would I begrudge CW producing a second or third run of the C60 Concept? no I wouldn't. It's just a watch ffs!

Might I go one step further if there's a further second run of Bel Canto and proceed to purchase? Well I might. What colour dial though?
I managed to secure one of the blue versions and I received an email with a link for payment which similarly had no option to use PayPal so I emailed them back regarding this and they then sent me a link to an PayPal invoice and payment whereby you could use their credit option at 0%.
Sorry it meant you ultimately missed out but the way things are going there might be further colour options you might wish to purchase šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
Cheers

Considering the Tudor is using an in house COSC movement in the BB line and it has a power reserve twice as long.

Yes it is exponentially better, and if you think otherwise you are lying to yourself.

You’re right, one if you want to be reminded when it’s the top of the hour. The other is you want a robust, COSC, in house 70 hr reserve movement.

It dings once an hour folks. Let’s not kid ourselves here, the reason no one does it is because it’s a useless complication. It’s a nice watch at 3k and because it dings it’s now 5k, ok sure.

Well if we're all being deliberately facetious, almost everything about every watch is a useless complication at this point in modern society.

COSC certified and a 70 hour power reserve is completely and utterly useless when you have a phone, after all.

I think you have missed the point.
By the way Tudor set up a joint factory with two other companies to make the movements. Thus all three claim in house manufacture. Also Longines and Omega have had movements made by ETA (Swatch group) in house or not?
Also the TAG Aqua racer in titanium sells for £3.5k with just a standard sw-200 in it and only grade 2 Ti.
The chiming module is where all R&D went. As you may be aware many chronographs use modules based on sw200 or eta2892.
