I imagine, from comments here and elsewhere (and also comments when other watches, that a buyer thought was an LE, but subsequently found that wasn’t the case) that many like to view their LE as a trophy with exclusive bragging rights and think that their status is diminished when something the same, in a different colour is released.

My view is that it doesn’t matter to me, as I only bought the watch because I liked it. Noise surrounding it and what comes after is irrelevant. But then again I don’t do the trophy watch thing. Nor do I try and bag watches with a view to them increasing in price (often goes with the turf for trophy hunters).

Seems to me that Guy isn’t bothered either.

Now we have another 4 colours (open serial too) and it’s been what, 2-3 months since the initial release.

Again, do what you want with your money, if you love the watch, great.

I’m not for releasing a ā€œlimited editionā€ watch in a total of 6 colour ways in such a short period of time.

Feel free to flame me though.

The blue Bel Canto sold out in a matter of hours, netting the company just shy of a million GBP in sales in a matter of hours. The green Bel Canto sold out in a matter of an hour and netted the company a further just-less-than a million GBP in sales.

If you were running a company selling a product capable of that, what would you do?
Rich.

To be fair I think the post is not dissimilar to the one you made on the 1st page of the thread...
biggus_richus wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:15 pm I imagine there might be a few people annoyed that their purchase isn’t quite as exclusive as they thought it would be or that have bought the blue and would rather have the green.

I also think it’s a bit naughty to take three grand for a watch that’s going to be delivered in July.

The post lends credence to my post. The similarity rather depends on whether I count myself amongst the disgruntled.

Noting wrong releasing many "LE" in a couple of different colours & 4 more open serial. I am not naive to think CW not milking its cash cow but Bel Canto won't be a Halo model in my book (not the worst considering they are planning to release new SH21.)

However, I question the timing of 4 x more open serial (a couple of months too soon) & also the way payment has been arranged (full payment, with/without discount. £1k deposit or half...). If CW wants to take full payments, try to delivery more existing orders as well as update their current customers first.
