Mercifully I don't like that enough to buy it. Make a bronze bracelet available, though, and I might be in trouble.

On the website it describes the indexes and twin flag logo as being made of "5N Gold." I had no idea what that was so a quick Google search indicates that 5N gold is 75% gold and 25% other metals. Did CW really use real gold indexes and logo at that price? It seems like a lot of gold in a $1,290 chronometer certified watch.

"The lume-filled handset delivers clarity and precision, while the ‘5N gold’ indexes – also filled with Super-LumiNova® – boast diamond-polished facets that catch the light. The date wheel at 6 o’clock is colour-matched to the dial, while the applied twin-flags logo – also in 5N gold – adds balance and depth."

 Well, it’s absolutely beautiful. Bronze against black and brown ombré is a killer combination. Just stunning. Chronometer - couldn’t not be on a watch this striking.

But it’s 42mm. Does anyone want to convince me I should try it and see?

What were they thinking when they paired it with the Bond #tide

Brown suit, black socks/shoes springs to mind.

Looks slightly ridiculous!!

A little tempted by it on the distressed vintage, but that #tide……..come on, they must be having an in-office joke!!

I had the exact same thoughts. Odd choice. A brown hybrid or rubber strap would be a nice option.

I don't particularly like bronze watches, but I do now.

This one is lovely.

I think it looks rather good. If it was 40mm, with the higher PR movement used in the Ti12 I would be tempted.

However perhaps I think it looks good because visually it looks like a RG case.

If I did go for one I certainly wouldn’t let it get a grubby bronze colour. :)

I would end up bringing it back to new and shiny every month.

I was wondering the same thing about why I find it appealing.

I'm VERY tempted to cancel my order for another watch and get this. The money has gone for that, so man maths makes this a bargain £500ish right?

I think it looks awesome but agree 42mm only is a real problem.

Feels like back to the bad old days of let-downs that yet more interesting watches were way too big for my average-sized wrist. Not sure who decided that only large-wristed people like bronze watches?

SW-300 also would have been a major plus.

40mm with SW-300 and I'll buy.

I was ready to hit ‘buy’ on this at 40mm and am tempted at 42mm… a bracelet might have pushed me over the edge, even at another 300 quid or so.

Looks great and the 18 karat gold (that’s the same as 5N gold, right?!) is a lovely touch.
