Bronze C60 300 - long overdue
Re: Bronze C60 300 - long overdue
I’ve got a few leather straps to try it with so I’ll see if I can find one to suit.
I’m not convinced by the CW distressed leather as they looked worn out within weeks as all the black came away from the photos that were around when they were first released. Hopefully they’ve improved but I didn’t want to take the chance to chose the hybrid instead, even though I would agree that the distressed leather does look the best from the photos.

Here are a few shots of the watch on various straps I had in the strap box.
First up the ubiquitous CW camel strap. I’m not sure about this, might be a little light coloured for me with this watch.
Next is a black Hirsch heavy calf waterproof leather.
Then a Hirsch Lucca
This might be my favourite, a Hirsch heritage
And finally a strap I picked up for £15 in a CW sale in years gone by, it’s a Tiber strap but the stitching is different. I don’t think it went on general sale and was only offered in the sale.
Personally I think it’s a toss up between the Hirsch heritage that wins on looks, and the CW Tiber that just seems to fit better and isn’t either too tight or too loose.

I think I like the camel strap the best of those. The heritage isn't bad either. The others aren't doing anything for me.

Hirsch Heritage by a mile for me. I looks tailor-made for the watch.

Hirsch Heritage hands down too, especially in a couple of months time when the case has dulled down with patina.
Top notch acquisition, by the way, Iain.

Re: Bronze C60 300 - long overdue
It looks like a completely different watch on each strap! All of them look great to me, with the exception of the black Tiber. Don’t get me wrong, that one doesn’t look bad, just a tad boring compared to the rest.
The Hirsch Heritage is a perfect match. The Lucca, however, is my personal favorite.

Any idea why CW doesnt produce a Deployant clasp? Maybe in the past there was...
I feel it causes less wear to the strap compared to a pin buckle, and adds some "luxury feel" to me..

Check this strap combo posted by Thomas Barth on the FB group page. I almost prefer this over the vintage distressed oak strap it comes on. This is the standard vintage oak strap, non-distressed. The color is a great match.

Agree that a deployant gives a more premium feel to the watch and puts less wear on the strap. One negative to a deployant is that it adds a good deal of bulk and weight. Advantages and disadvantages to each.Hexean wrote:Any idea why CW doesnt produce a Deployant clasp? Maybe in the past there was...

They’ve offered a deployant clasp in the past on their nicer, dress watch strap offerings. The cordovan straps typical come with a very nice deployant clasp.

Hybrid looks great to my eyes, not sold on the NATO. To your point, if CW fixed the longevity of the distressed strap look it’s the runaway winner. Nice addition to your impressive watch box.
