Re: Bronze and Green?
Thanks. Not a huge deal. Let’s move on with the thread, especially now that these watches are up and running.

I share your sentiment, and ownership of a 42mm C60 Trident Mk3 Prototype, Alex with the added factor that I don't run with appreciation of the Ombré dial. Do I won't be getting the C60 Bronze.Clach77 wrote:That looks good, I like that.42mm in size, so it’s the size I like. I won’t rush to buy one as I have my MkIII 42mm bronze prototype, but I’ve no doubt that this will sell well.
However, I do like a sapphire dial and I'm tempted by the C63 Sealander Bronze.

Surprising knowing your wrist and wear habits toward larger watches. Though I will say that my Sealander auto does wear the same if not a little larger than my 40mm C60, and I’ve seen you happily wear a 40mm C60 Sapphire, so it could very well work for you!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 5:15 pm

Re: Bronze and Green?
I will add that I was really excited for this one, but am kind of turned off by the solid bronze relief bezel.

I love the relief bezel. Normally I don’t, but I think they look great on bronze watches, especially as the bezel acquires patina and the markers get rubbed and maintain a polished look.ajax87 wrote:I will add that I was really excited for this one, but am kind of turned off by the solid bronze relief bezel.

Funnily enough, I’m a fan of an Ombré dial, less so of a sapphire one.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 5:15 pmI share your sentiment, and ownership of a 42mm C60 Trident Mk3 Prototype, Alex with the added factor that I don't run with appreciation of the Ombré dial. Re: Bronze and Green?
The specs say the bezel is bronze, but don’t distinguish between the bezel and the insert. Is the insert bronze? It looks like something else.

Re: Bronze and Green?
Looks like bronze to me. I had the original C60 with this bronze relief bezel insert. This variant is far more appealing because of the ombré dial, the green colour way, the framed date window at 6 instead of at 3, & the wordmark at 12. Altogether better in my opinion.

Re: Bronze and Green?
^^^^ On the C60 Trident Mk2 Bronze GMT LE and my C60 Trident Mk3 Bronze Prototype, the bezel insert is Bronze and gains patina with the bezel and case.

I see no reason for it to be any different on this one.

I’m of the same mind. I think the relief bezel is perfect for bronze. There’s some old world about it to me. It’s the ombré dial I just can’t get onboard with.

I love the dial, too, I just already have the dial in a different watch.jkbarnes wrote:I’m of the same mind. I think the relief bezel is perfect for bronze. There’s some old world about it to me. It’s the ombré dial I just can’t get onboard with.

Re: Bronze and Green?
It is almost something you need to see in person. In some light my Ombré looks black with no marks whatsoever. Sometimes it looks almost gray and then it can also look fumé.
I also like the uniqueness because they are hand done. No two are identical.
Completely acknowledging it isn't to everyone's taste. I have yet to be captured by the bronze train myself. Although I think the hunter green and bronze make a good color combination.
Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes, playing a poor hand well.

Re: Bronze and Green?
But….I JUST took delivery of the C5 Revival, which I really like, by the way.
A while back a few of our talented brothern here were showing off their photoshop skills. I requested a bronze case, bronze relief bezel, with bronze ombré dial. Nice, but possibly a bit too much. Then the green Sea Lander appeared and I thought “that green dial is exactly what was needed, bit of contrast. Careful what you wish for….
