British wall clock makers from a prior Loupe edition

Post by TXAG96 »

I am in the market for a new wall clock, and I recall reading an edition of the CW Loupe magazine that highlighted various UK makers. There was a small company making whimsical wall clocks that were quartz movements but that had moving scenes in them. Does anyone on the forum recall the name of that company or their website?

I hear you! It’s taken tremendous discipline for me to refrain from buying one.

Just needs a few outsize sans-serif numbers around the chapter ring to make a perfect wall clock for any kindergarten. A bit too Crystal Tipps for my taste.

Good point Andrew (ref. your edited post). Crystal Tipps & Alistair, a very “of its time” British cartoon for kids in the early ‘70s.

Neither could the monkey apparently. Which explains a thing or two about the simian population of the lower Amazon basin.

I edited my original post after reading your comment on another thread about scorn and sarcasm in responses. I want to be part of the solution, not the problem!

Ah well, there is the difference between gentle irony and full blooded sarcasm.

Wouldn’t you agree, Darling?

If you say so, Blackadder.
