When the new 36mm Sealanders were announced, I was hugely impressed. The colors are incredible. I already have the “famous” Creamlander 1 of 1 Prototype that will never leave the collection, as well as the standard White. This line of watches are the second-best CW ever did, only beat out by the Trident divers which is the iconic line of the brand as a whole. But after I got the Creamlander in a moment of FOMO and initially wondering if it was too small, suddenly it hit me just how PERFECT the watch is for me. Amazing size, balance, design. It’s just incredible. The white has all those traits as well.

I was a little bit afraid of the size gap between 39 and 36, but the 39 wears relatively large for its size. Non-dive bezel + large dial means a larger visual impact. On wrist, it has the same visual size as a 42mm MK3 C60 Trident. It’s great. I can definitely go a touch smaller.

So I did. I bought the Yellow LE on the day of the launch but then had a change of heart and canceled the order within 30 minutes. It would have been the 6th CW in a single month. Between the Sale, Atoll launch, and 36mm Sealander launch, CW was trying their very best at ruining my watch fund. They did well!

But I felt I had done too much, hence the cancelation. I kind of also had my eye on the Jura Green – henceforth to be known as the “Teeny Greeny Meany Machiney” but I couldn’t stop thinking about the Forest Yellow (now called the “Teeny-Weeny Yellow Submariney” obviously!)

As many watch fans giving advice to others have said when someone couldn’t decide between two options: “Get both!”. Not super helpful in most cases, but this time, that’s what I did. Jura Green on bracelet and Forest Yellow on strap only. Mix & match.

Both are still available as pre-orders. In this rare instance, that’s fine as I’ll be away on vacation for a couple weeks and by the time I come back, it’ll be a short-ish wait before delivery.

In the end, the incredible dials won me over. For those still keeping track, that’s 7 CWs ordered in 35 days. 1 every 5 days. Is obsession the wrong word? Who cares, I’m having fun with it.

I feel you would have regretted it if you didn't go for them especially as they are Limited Editions.

I love the yellow one also but just can't do that small I'm afraid.

You know, I think it's just a matter of getting accustomed to a certain size.

I have come to think that I need at least 40mm, and I do find the 41mm C65 a great size. The first time I had a 39mm dressy watch I thought - wow that's big, but eventually got used to that amount of real estate. Now, I just think automatically 36mm - no, too small.

However my oldest watch is an Omega Geneve my wife bought for me nearly 50 years ago. It's only 34mm, and 18mm lugs - but that was a standard mans size then - and I am so accustomed to it, I never ever think it's too small. So I'm pretty sure that after an extended period with a 36mm Sealander (or Rolex or anything else) anyone would come round to accepting the 36mm size - and then maybe thinking the 40mm plus sizes are too big, but I imagine the longer you've worn bigger watches, the longer it takes.

Having seen and worn one of these for a good few hours today, I think you’ve made a very good call ordering those two

As mentioned elsewhere, I had no idea that I would have found the 36mm Sealander at all wearable for me, but I’ve very pleasantly surprised
