Best place to sell?

Post by I.I.D »

I know the C80 is a so-called Marmite watch, but do you reckon the best place for me to sell one is on here where people know about them, or on ebay which is a much bigger marketplace?

From the prices that they are going for on Ebay,i would hedge your bets.
Stick it on here, and when Ebay have a free listing day (which is fairly often these days) stick it on there as well.
If you are a member of WUS i think its probably a good place to list it as well.
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

The thing is that there will be people who know what they went for. With eBay you could get lucky like this sale.

The first CWL to go for more than the retail price on eBay. And it was a Sector.

I remember visiting TZ as a total newb (to both forums) and the CW hate was palpable. I don't get it but let's not open that can of worms here :D

As for the point of this thread, eBay has the biggest marketplace. If they pay you by cheque then it's not too bad, but paypal fees + ebay fees is quite frankly taking the ****. On the other hand, selling on here or WUS, you are giving it to genuine watch lovers (which shouldn't really factor if you think of cold hearted business!).

Looks like the bay is best then - probably not a surprise really as these don't seem to be loved on here.

Wait for the first C6 FLE to go on the bay... then I think you'd see something beat the original retail price. There are two WTB's on here as well as peeps like me that are constantly lurking for one of these to come up. Who wants to be brave and put theirs up for auction :)

Best place to sell?

I'd give it a go on here first. Costs nothing. I might even be interested depending on price. ;)

I too would suggest "The Asylum" as the first choice. Who knows...even Mortis might take a shot!
