Bespoke 39mm C63 GMT mulberry dial project

Post by thomcat00 »

Spotted on CWA-FB, Matt Hall proposes a 39mm C63 GMT with a mulberry dial. They need a few more interested parties to push the bespoke project forward. I’ll get an email for him for those not on Facebook; please contact Matt directly if you’re interested in buying or if you have questions. If all goes forward with the watch, ordering and fulfillment will be handled by CW as with any other bespoke watch. This is not a design open to wishlist changes as the design is set. This was proposed because enough people wanted a 39mm mulberry instead of the existing 36mm size. They need a few more to make it happen.

Addendum: if you’re interested in the Mulberry GMT, pm either @Bahnstormer_vRS or me, here, and we will put you in touch with Matt. I’d posted Matt’s email earlier and that was not prudent for his privacy and security. :) Also, again, if you’re a FB CWE or CWA you can reach Matt directly.

A bump up on this Bespoke Edition project as one more buyer is needed to be able to take the project forward.

Please contact me by PM and I'll put you in touch with the project lead, Matt Hall.

Not for me, but this project is eye opening. It seems like CW's bespoke department is BUSY, and for good reason. It's pretty great that they are willing to do small runs of bespoke watches for pretty much whatever one could want (within reason). And with CW's customer base continually increasing, it seems like it's becoming easier to make these small runs viable.

I've held off from buying a 12 because I want the blue from the 40mm Ti but in the 36mm Ti case. This project has me thinking I just might be able to find enough people to make it a reality. Maybe if I had more time on my hands I'd take it on... I'm fine for now to wait to see what other colors will be released.

Looks great, congrats. Unfortunately I’m not in the market for a gmt……

Man I'm a fan of a nicely coloured C63 GMT, I treasure my green dial version, I'm signed up for the "Sunset" orange version and now this comes along: what's a guy to do?
C60 MKI, MKII, MKIII: "some",
C6 & C60 Kingfishers,
C600 Tritechs,
C63 "some",
C65 "some",
C4, C40, C8, C9, C3, C5, C20 & 23FLE
Some other brands

I like these things in theory, but I ultimately wind up wearing the more conservative watches more often.

How does the bespoke version work when it’s using the dial from another CW watch?

If CW decides they want to make a proper mulberry 39mm as a catalogue release, would they still be “able” to? Or is there some promise of exclusivity in the bespoke process?

I don’t think this one is billed as a Limited Edition. CW could offer a general release with perhaps a different color GMT accent which would keep this specific colorway unique. Probably a question better asked of the project instigator.

This is a great project, well done. How is this progressing? Also, any chances this can come with the COSC movement?

There are a few spots left in the order. As far as specifications, the watch project is fixed: no COSC movement for this one. It is a Sellita 330-2 with the 56 hour reserve powering the watch. Planned delivery is November. Contact Matt (or PM me and I’ll get word to Matt) if you want to get in on this watch order.

The standard black/orange GMT hand goes well on all other released versions but as I'm not sure it suits this mulberry dial so well.

Still a nice watch but not for me.

Yes it is, Thanks for that Guy.
Obviously I didn't look close enough or increase the size of the photo to see it.

Which for me still makes it a wrong colour :D
