Bespoke 3/6/9 Sandhurst
Re: Bespoke 3/6/9 Sandhurst
Interesting note on Traveler/Traveller. I think this US based speller (and C63 Valour owner) would get a kick out of having the British spelling on the dial. No argument here.

If you're struggling for a name and want some text on the dial, how about "Innominate".
There's an outdoorsy reference there too

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

A far more appealing name to me. I envisage wearing it, supping a pint of Wainwright golden ale, after a day on the fells.

Swiss Watch Co might not be happy as theirs is less than a year old if I remember correctly.

I am not sure Tudor would appreciate that.

I wonder how many of these names are actually trademarked.

However, a US user commissioning a bespoke might well argue against.
The UK and the US are divided by a common language so maybe this is not the best option.

I have thought about doing an inside joke for a name but I am not sure the CW Bespoke Department would be happy about these choices.
So they beat me to it. As they say, there are no new ideas just variations on old ones.UncleLoco wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 12:43 pm @nycWATCHnerd Nezumi has a cool land/sea/air type trio that you might like…

Cool watches but weird names: Terrain, Baleine (whale), Aviera (a blend of “aviation” and the Swedish word “navigera” to navigate)

Ditto but in a good way and certainly with less suggestive hands LOLOllyW wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:06 amMy first thing I though when I saw the photos above was Ranger.nycWATCHnerd wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:08 pm I am also trying to figure out a name for it as I would like to have it on the bottom dial area just above the 6. I have not yet been truly inspired but thought about a few "field style" names for the watch:
- Excursion (Ford had an SUV/truck named the Excursion)
- Quest
- Safari
- Tourer
- Trekker (though Raven watches may not be happy as they have a Trail Trekker)
- Voyager (MVMT and Phoibos both have a Voyager)
So far I am leaning towards Quest or Safari but am open to other options. Maybe keep it simple and call it "Field".![]()
