Just had the same email

I placed my order at the beginning of April 2023, I can't even remember the agreed delivery date. I've already had the six pre delivery emails, sometime last year.

How is it possible to take deposits and orders and make promised deliveries for a product that hasn't had any effective manufacturing process validation?

So what's the deal with the parts makers who tried to supply shoddy work to CW? Are we looking at a new gong factory?
You tell us; or perhaps Mike France will know. :-k :-k

As we all have seen, these cats did not expect the runaway success the Bel Canto is
They did not have the resources/systems/communications/back ups to get the job done per se, I also doubt they have the right folks to even plan for such a manufacturing project
Those of us who put down some coin for one ended up going on an unintentional journey
I do continue to say my Bel Canto is a great time piece and I am glad I grimaces out the 10+ months it took for mine to arrive (and to my surprise and displeasure, many folks are waiting longer)

Nero looks good on a curved rubber strap...

I did think this was very odd. Advertising a fathers day gift that no one could get their hands on. Bizarre

Thank you for sharing that.
When I got the email earlier today, it just resonated how tone deaf Mike is.
Folks want a gift they can show up with, and hand to their loved one, not an effen IOU.

Just joined the forum. Is there any news on them releasing the dark blue Bel Canto again? I don't like any of the colors currently available. I would buy right now if there were a dark blue or dark green.

Alas, the Azzurro Blue was a limited edition edition of 300 that sold out in a matter of hours.

The green one was released on pre-order ahead of schedule as a consequence of the blue’s popularity, and it sold out even more quickly.

Thanks for the quick reply! Since those were limited editions, I guess we can't expect to see those colors again, but it would be nice to see some other color variations that are also dark. I'm not a fan of the lighter colors.

@xlnja The black dial version is an open series, currently on preorder for mid December.

I recently picked up a new (to me) Bel Canto and have been really enjoying it. The finish/quality is amazing compared to anything else I have in my collection(this is by far the most money I’ve spent on a watch). If really is “high end”. The hourly chime is way more useful than most watch complications to me. That little reminder that a new hour has started both helps keep a rhythm to the day, but also often reminds me I’m late for meetings!

One thing I didn’t immediately love is the black leather strap that came with the watch. The titanium bracelet is amazing, and the watch looks great on it. However I sometimes prefer a leather strap, especially when sat at a desk when a bracelet clasp might get scratched.

So, I decided to get some custom made straps from someone on Etsy that has been recommended to me. They arrived yesterday and I’ve been rotating around them today. I’m really happy with them, especially as they were only £40 each.

I thought I would share some pictures

First up, a grey nubuck calfskin which I think goes really well with the case and platine colour

Second, a white epsom leather strap. Again, I think this helps to drawer out the elements placed on top of the platine

Third, a suede strap in burgundy to help pick out the red pointer (or beak) on the dial and also add a splash of colour

Lastly, a brown vintage leather which I think dresses the watch down nicely
