No, the ETA 2893 in the GMT is the better movement and are getting more rare as time goes on. You have the better watch in hand than the PRO version, hybrid bezel aside. If the color really bothers you, best thing to do would be to return the watch, get your money back, and wait until the next great sale and purchase the red bezel GMT. That's what I am personally doing as of now: Waiting until this coming November for another -25% sale (or so, and hopefully free S&H again) and getting (I think) the red GMT.

To be honest, the value you got on the sale was not much better than the recent Black Friday sale. The BF sale had most CW watches 25% off, brand new, and free shipping worldwide. Considering the high provability that the bezel issue should be fixed by the end of the year, that's the better deal IMO. You really can't go wrong with your choice but November is a long time away. I bought 4 CW watches last year that I haven't worn or bought straps for yet so I am taking a break until the next great sale.

Yeah, November is long due. Maybe I could just get the Pro in red at that time. Think I'll stick with the GMT because it seems to be more value for the money, and if it has any unacceptable flaws I will return it. What do you mean "the bezel issue"?

Oh, I know what you mean. It looks a bit odd but really isn't a deal breaker to me since the watch is also a diver amd I do time things regularly, and generally for no more than 15 mins. May look odd and a bit out of place but not enough for putting me off about getting the watch.

That's what I think is best if you can afford it. Get both! Two different looking watches. :D

Think that will be my approach, IF I get a good first one. It will still take a while for the second though, and I would most likely wait for a sale. Thanks.
