If I'm forking out lots of money, it's got to be automatic - no contest

Still quite early days in my collection but I have a mix.
I like the grab-and-go of quartz, the cleverness of solar, the soul of a mechanical.
I tend to wear automatics and they make up the majority of my collection but everything has its place.

All options apply for me

I enjoy the mechanical watches and especially some vintage oldies (ticky's as my daughter calls them ) but quartz is fine to just wear without worry
And i do love the C3 Malvern's i recently picked up

For me a quartz has to be solar powered & no more than £250.

I am now forever going to call mechanical watches 'ticky's. Just fantastic.

I'm fascinated by mechanical watches but equally get as much enjoyment from a quartz. Ironically my most valuable watch is a quartz.

As it's been a few years since I have owned a Quartz, and I own 4 autos, voted strongly automatic.

I sometimes get tempted by quartz watches. They are able to produce very beautiful designs for very good prices. However I always wonder if I'm paying too much for a quartz, even a good looking one.
