Firstly I would do what CW suggest in giving it a full wind and leave it off wrist to see how long the reserve lasts.
If you don't get the full 42 hours or thereabouts I would ring up CW and give them the information.
If the watch has been back to CW for the same problem within the last 12 months and they say that they will charge you I would ask under what circumstances they believe that you should pay.
If they are insistent, for whatever reason, that you will have to pay then you have three alternatives that I can see.
1. Send it in to CW and pay for the repair but tell them that you feel that this is morally incorrect.
2. Send it to an Independent for repair.
3. Bin it and buy another watch.
