"Semper conari, numquam unguis" then in CW dog Latin motto parlance. :D

Lately I have thought that the business ethos of cw was "that'll have to do".

As in :
Bad web site
Poor quality control
Leather straps that don't fit to the curve of the case anymore.
etc.

This is just the cynic in me. I would like cw to succeed but they do appear rather adept at shooting themselves in the foot. Trashing their world wide shop window point of sale being an obvious example.

Exceptions being customer service that is excellent and undoes the poor showing of the rest.

This is not to be confused with the phrase used in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Babe the pig movies..."That'll do". This in fact is just about the highest praise that can be uttered.

I don't see why!

I did actually give those to my Scholarship and Common Entrance Level 3 set a couple of years ago. "Deus Maris Altum" took them about 10 seconds. "Noun and adjective don't agree, sir. Should be ALTI!"
I'm marking a stack of Common Entrance this afternoon (I teach secondary; they're applicants to join at 13+ next year). Quality is... variable.

Perhaps to save money someone just ran a phrase through Google translate and went from there.
