The applied silver TF logo is how it should appear on the watches if it's going to be used.
I still think the colours on the Aquitaine range are insipid, too muted especially the cream/beige on the GMTs. What next - beige velcro?

You know, the more I see the twin flags, the more I think it could have been just a single cross. It's still representative of both countries. Maybe that symbol wasn't available as a trade mark.

I like Ryan's example with the word name underneath the TF. I can't help thinking an underlying aim was to disassociate the name itself.

The applied logo looks great. And also a tad smaller than on the new watches.

But the name is too long and hence has to be printed with a very small font. Lose the name and keep the applied logo in my opinion.

Honestly, that mock-up of an applied logo plus word mark doesn't do anything for me. Apologies, I'm not trying to be rude, but I much prefer the way CW have done it on the Aquitaine range. I'm not averse to having applied logos, but I'm perfectly happy with no word mark.

Back to the wider question of the Aquitaine range, I have to say I am warming more to it the more I see real life pictures and videos, particularly the white sand GMT version. But then I was fairly warm to it to start with. I saw a photo earlier today (outside the forum) showing a close-up of the subtle texture of the dial, which made me realise there are probably a lot of appealing details of this watch that you can't really appreciate until you handle one. So I may have to take the plunge at some point and order one, with the safety net of the 60 day return period if I don't like it. But I am missing a white diver in my collection at the moment. :-k

Yeah, that I don’t mind. Still not crazy about the choice of font but I like that a lot better than branding at nine and noon.
agreed, it could be changed to a serif font... and as the first name is too long they could even shorten it to 'Chr' 8)

No apology required Steve. It wasn't meant as a 'this is what they should have made' kind of post, but rather to further the discussion about whether people were warming to it.
As Des stated, a lot of the initial lukewarm comments centred around the printed logo and some of those members appeared to think that using the device only might well be the reason.
I merely wanted to present a more 'conventional' layout to allow those to decide whether it was in fact the logo, or the watch as a whole that left them a bit underwhelmed.

I like the idea of an applied SWISH (no wordmark), but would like to see it as follows:

Silver on black and darker coloured dials.

Black on white dials and silver dials...do we HAVE any silver dials? If not, why not? :problem:

NO LUME! Leave that for the hands and indices.

I really like the Aquitane - I'm considering it for my first CW watch. I'm hoping to be able to visit the showroom in the next few weeks and check them out in person - keen to see what that sapphire dome is like IRL, and if the bronze is as good as it looks in person.

I find it a bit odd (and disappointing) that there's so few reviews of it on YouTube.

I also like the C65 Trident, but it's been discontinued and I don't know enough about watches to feel confident about buying second hand.

Love a silver dial, me! Are there any in the current CW range? if not that's a bit of an oversight...

I don’t think there are. There used to be this (The Original C9 Harrison) though it was a tad big. Now this in 38 mm with lovely blued hands would be…

I’ve seen a fair handful of hands-on videos with the Aquitaine. At least four or five. I’ve certainly watched enough while I’m up on newborn duty to feel good about the preorder I placed.

Yeah, I've found some good ones recently. Which colour did you go for? I'm thinking about the blue non-COSC with bracelet, but have heard there might be a sale in the next month or so, so am holding off for the time being.

That’s the one I got as well. I’ve been kind of sad I didn’t order a GMT.
