I just wondered if people thought there might be mileage in another color combo for the Aquitaine (Aquitaine COSC ideally
I was thinking a bronze and green combo, similar to the Rado Captain Cook. I think that would look amazing on the Aquitaine. They’ve got the bronze and blue version, so it’s not a wild jump to bronze and green.
I’ve made a quick mock-up of my idea. What do people think?

Green and "gold" is lovely but the white date wheel and flags are too prominent, just as they are on the bronze/blue. A black (or better green) date and applied bronze flags would be great.
Slightly different, but there's already a CW bronze watch in a different green, also a chronometer. It's a C60 Ombre, with a distressed dial. Maybe that's why they went for blue rather than green. I have that green watch. I get the impression green is a bit marmite compared to the blue though.
I can't seem to copy the image, but this is the link on the CW site.

I get that, but the distressed look of that watch is a different style to the Aquitaine. I just look at the Rado Captain Cook, and I think that the design idea would work so well on the Aquitaine.

Really? I think they look really clean on both and match with the white lumed area of the hands well.
This is what it would look like with the black date and bronze flags. It looks good. I suppose it depends what you’re going for:
I think that you got it right with your first effort using the white indices, flags & date window. In theory using matching colors like bronze & green may sound good but I don’t think provides a uniform contrast. Your mock up is a sharp looking Aquitaine & quite different than a bronze & green distressed dial. Good work!

My 55 year old eyes really appreciate the white date wheel on my bronze aquitaine, it makes the date very legible.

I tried a green date window. It didn’t look nice
This looks good. How about a bronze date window instead of white or black?
