Wish they would mate version 1 with 2 and have a grey titanium color case with the white hands/bezel markings. That would be the best combination. And perhaps have an all black stealth version?

Would CW make a built-to-order version on request? Can't be too difficult to switch out a case at the factory.

Considering the price of a Seiko Shogun I feel the CWL titanium divers are priced quite fairly, titanium dive watches are niche products and usually command a higher premium than that Chris Ward are charging. However, I feel they are missing out on a large share of the market by "stelthing" the things up in black and subdued colours. Just because you are allergic doesn't mean you want the thing PVD-coated, just because you like lightweight/ultralight doesn't mean you want subdued colours.

A five week old titanium dlc trident on eBay for £435+ postage.

Minor damage to dlc on lugs.

A bargain for someone as you could have it recased and still save £200+ from new price.

The Trident Titanium V1 is dark and evil looking and absolutely magnificent. If I knew how to post photos of it I would but with 24mp on my Sony Alpha any photos I post are always rejected.

I was looking at that one as well but has been sold now. There were just a few things that prevented me from clicking the Buy button. The scratches weren't really noticable but would still bother me. It seems like it was scratched when changing straps. So either a clumsy strap changer or that coating scratches real easy.

£750 new and offered for £435 for a 6 week old watch seems a bit too good to be true. And not sure what happened to the origina strap. If there is going to be a Father's Day sale and without VAT for us customers in the US, I'd still pay a bit more and buy new.

Some decent pictures, haven't seen any real pictures of the version 2 before.

Unfortunately this is the downside to dlc or ipk coatings.

get a brushed steel version and not have the worry.

DLC is more than strong enough to withstand a normal strap change. This chap must have taken an axle grinder to that poor watch to result in those marks. Dear me.

As it looks to be perhaps the most reocurring topic: how difficult would it be to swap the bezel between the two variations? I think I would prefer any of the crossed products to any of the originals, and the classic bare Titanium+black would be an autobuy. I'm so fond of titanium watches, and they are so few and far in between, that I actually consider getting both and doing the swap: one as the daily watch, and the other for when I don my cape and go out in the night to fight crime.
