Anyone for ice cream?

Post by kev017 »

New limited edition. 200 units per colour.

Interestingly these are 38 (with date) which for me is a bit of a sweet spot for watches of this style.

Perhaps this is a great way to get children/younger people interested in watches.

There are more pics and discussion over in The Inside Track - Ice Cream with an exposé of the launch / exhibit at the Chicago WindUp Watch Fair.

^^^^ @kev017 - No worries Kev.

It's probably a good idea to have this topic/thread running over the next few weeks as we can include general discussion and comments, particular once the watches have been fully released on July 18th, whereas the topic running in The Inside Track is more specific to the Chicago Windup Watch Fair.

Carry on, Sir. :wink: :wink:

No thanks. The watches look great--I'm partial to that light green dial--and I'm sure that they'll clean up just fine but you've ruined those ice cream cones for me.

The colours are not for me, but glad to see they released a 38mm version. If that comes in a deeper grey or black variant, I’ll be there!

I didn't even know "the Inside Track" existed. Good to see CW upping their watch display game though. The "Ice Cream" is a major launch in disguise. A new case size for the C12. I wonder if that's going to be a regular size going forward. Me, I'd go for the green.

@albionphoto
I think it is highly likely to be a regular case size. Ideal for folk that consider the 36 too small and the 40 too big.

Hopefully for this in between size they will produce the more mainstream dials colours as an option in titanium.

However that may just be me saying what I would like to complete my set of 12s…

One each of 36, 38, 40 and 41.

Love the colours and a perfect size. these will do very well I imagine. i know dressy watches like this aren't really my style but certainly tempting!
Cheers now, Paul

I went and ordered the Blue one. To replace my slightly too large CW XII Glacial Blue one I dont wear that much due to the size. Put that up for sale now and enough big wristed fella's are choping at the bit to buy it. So once it arrives ill take some extra pictures. Cool that it comes with steel and colormatched rubber.
