Hey Joe - thanks for fixing the link. Tried to get the photos to appear but all I got was the link. I remember seeing a thread in this forum somewhere about posting photos but can't seem to find it anymore (this forum is turning into a monster...). Maybe you can post a link to the thread so I can review.
Heard back from Wera but she says what I have explained is too technical for her and she wasn't part of my original correspondence with Chris, so she will get Chris to respond to me tomorrow.
I would rather not punch extra hole(s) down the centre of the strap. I think the only real options if I want to have a black strap with white stitching is to ask for the dual fast clasp and not have a deployment clasp, or look for a third party strap that will fit the CWL deployment clasp.
I actually do think that CWL is getting a little too big for CW to personally check over every watch before it leaves his shop. If this is the case, he needs to train someone else that is competent to oversee quality control. Perhaps more quality control issues will surface in the future when he gets his shipment of 2824-2's in late May (hopefully) and he has to ship out 50 C6 Forum LE's as well as a gazillion pre-ordered C5's??

Re: Anyone else here experience poor customer service?
canajan, I am a bit reluctant to try to post how to embed the images because I know it will be a disaster trying to escape all the appropriate codes so that the text I provide to show you what should be done isn't interpretted as an embedded image.
The best way for you to see what I did is to try to edit that message and look at the tags at the bottom where the image is.
Also, what I do is just click the Img button at the top of the text editor. That will insert the tags for you. Then all you have to do is paste the appropriate URL for the image between the tags.
OK, I'll give it a shot. To embed an image, do this:
{img}url to image goes here{/img}
Except instead of using braces ({}) use brackets ([]).

Just found out that some Tag Carreras have 3 rows of holes in their straps. Pretty awful looking IMHO...
PS Thanks for the tip Joe.

Re: Anyone else here experience poor customer service?
Just heard back from CW - no explanations, but he is offering to send me either a new C4 strap with dual fast buckle or C6 strap with deployment clasp - not really ideal solutions but I figured it would come down to these choices. I think I'll just punch a new hole in the strap I have and use it while I look for a third party black strap with white stitching that will fit the CWL deployment buckle. I know there are lots around online but the hard part is finding one that will deliver to Canada with reasonable shipping charges. I guess at the end of the day, this is really not that big of a deal since the stock strap isn't so expensive (only about C$25) that punching a new hole down the middle of the strap would make one cry. The only negative is if someone were to ask to see the watch (friend/jeweller/etc.) and see the new hole in the strap - how does one explain that this has to be done to a "luxury" watch in order to wear it? I guess the simple solution here is to not take it off for anyone until I get another strap...
