Another ladies CW for Mrs Botty
Another ladies CW for Mrs Botty
It somehow seems that Mrs B falls on her feet when I find a ladies CW watch that she does not have, this one i spotted on ebay as a non working watch. The seller had been told it was a "winding" watch and whatever they tried could not get it to work. I put a bid in that meant if it needed a movement (not just a battery as it is actually a quartz)it would still be a decent buy.
I won the auction and it arrived yesterday while I was away working along with a new Renata battery, this evening I set about changing a battery for the very first time. I was given a few tips and the confidence from @MiniMpi to be able to succeed in my quest to get the watch working.
Hey presto, around half an hour later after being very cautious it is up and running.
The R30 Victoria Deco compliments the S30 Victoria Deco that Coleen already has in her possession and was actually the first CW watch that she purchased.

A fine find! Enjoy the latest, especially as you probably got it at a decent bid price. Looks great!

Re: Another ladies CW for Mrs Botty
I'll just mention on here.
On eBay there's a very good condition lady's Divine watch. Tank shaped, with diamonds around the bezel. The watch is in the archive.
I showed Mrs Jafo but she thought it might be smaller than she wears now, and passed.
I don't know if this might be of interest .

Morning, yes I have shown Mrs B that one and she has said no as she has the Emily Diamond, gold Bellisima Diamond & the T9 L'ovale which has the Diamond bezel.
Thanks for the message though it is much appreciated

Nice pickup, I purchased mum one of those a few years ago, unfortunately the ‘ring’ fell off, which I believe is not uncommon.
I was going to try and glue it back on but decided against it, she now wears it without Hope she enjoys it

Seem it is not, indeed. The ring on my wife's watch fell off a couple of days ago.
On her other CW, an Emily Deco, the indices and the numbers fell off about half a year ago. A local service put them back nicely, so I hope they will be able to repair this one as well.

There is a Constance Deco on ebay at the minute with a similar issue I think although it looks like the dial is twisted as well, the one your mum has looks good though without the ring.
