You normally only spend $2 a month on watches.
What can you buy for that?

I truly feel inadequate at this point. While I love the higher end watches I am fairly confident that my nearly perfect wife and my nearly imperfect pay check will ever allow for a $10,000 watch.

....and I am sure he appreciates it. He needs to do some work on the boat.

Get a grip you lot, it's all about getting things in proportion.
Three quarters sounds OK to me.
Unfortunately Mrs L has other ideas - the kitchen is going to cost 4x what I have
ever spent on watches (and pens for that matter) - which seems like a good start to the negotiations to me.

Don't feel alone mate, I have always spent far more on the misses then on myself but that's a good thing because I never have to justify what I spend on myself. I can always say, "you got more"!

Now that wasn't just one watch. I would say at least a dozen.
