An Aquitaine colorway I’d like to see
NBG and Qubo’s pics of their Aquitaines here (Neil’s blue/cream GMT and Qubo’s green/cream auto) were caught in such a way that the bezels looked almost back. That got me thinking….
I took it upon myself to edit some photos to exaggerate the black look of the bezels. If CW released this colorway, I’d have a hard time resisting! The editing is a bit crude, but you get the idea.
Black bezel, white dial and lume, gun metals hands and indices - perfect!

^^^ I wholeheartedly agree that the white dial/black bezel Aquitaine would be a great looker! I hope CW takes the hint and offers this color scheme in the near future.

Legibility looks a bit sus to me

I agree, they would need to change the colour of the hands or polish/angle them in a way that they can stand out. White on white dial always looks nice in photos online but I think it would be a problem to use day to day because the hands would disappear into the dial.

As I commented, it’s a pretty poor editing job. I think gun metal indices and hands like on the white C63s ought to make for good legibility.

Andrew’s poor editing aside (much better than any effort by me tho), this has always been a problem for me with white on white.robert75 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 7:54 pmI agree, they would need to change the colour of the hands or polish/angle them in a way that they can stand out. It’s the same on the C60 Tridents with white on white, the pics are always angled to show good legibility but in reality this is not the case.
Change the hands and you have a winner.

Black frame the hands, sit the indices/plots on black instead of chrome, frame the date window in black (optional) and you have a winner.

As Omega have done with their white dialled Seamaster, without the date frame, and that seems to work well.

Andrew, that colorway could work for me.

Whilst I agree with the comments about legibility, that colour combination really works well. Hopefully one for the future (along with the sky blue 39mm Sealander I keep hoping will appear - crosses fingers)

Re: An Aquitaine colorway I’d like to see
I pulled this screen shot from a YouTube review of the blue/cream GMT because the bezel looked practically black. A black/white colorway that looked like this would be almost perfect. The only editing I did was to crop it.
