After Forever and a Day, I'm Back

Post by albionprs »

My association with CW started way back in 2011. My first purchase would have been a C60 Trident Mk1. Black dial and bezel.

I was so impressed with the quality of the watch, during a nine year period I bought, sold over twenty different types of their watches alone.

During one period I would have had up six CW in my collection.

My total purchases would have been:

C5 Malvern, C8 Flyer Auto, C9 Auto SSK, C9 Harrison 5-day,

C10 Aviator Auto, C20 Lido, 2013 Forum FE, C60 Trident Mk1:

Black/Black, Blue/Blue, Black/Orange & Red/Silver – 2012 Forum LE

C60 Trident Mk2: Black/Black, White/Blue, C60 Chrono Blue.

C60 Trident Mk3: Black/Black, C65 Trident Mk1 – Black, C65 Sandhurst Mk1. Finally, a C70 VW4 Chrono Limited Edition.

They all went apart from the Sandhurst, my dependable my daily wear Monday to Friday.

Around the same time, I bought a few watches from Beaverbrook’s using their interest free credit, so my collection was developing nicely over the years. Again, bought and sold and with a little help with my pension, my current collection has remained as you can at the bottom.

The problem is I don’t wear them, either too frightened of damaging them or being robbed. So, they will be for my children.

Then came the new C60 Trident 300, The Green Hulk, my eyes lit up, lets have the pleasure of buying something new and shiny and not spend thousands once again.

So as the tile say’s: After Forever and a Day, I'm Back

You want to talk about coincidence….. this will make your head spin as it did mine!

So I too have been a part of CW for a very long time and bought many watches from them. While browsing YouTube reviews for a potential new diver, I came across the brand new Trident 300. I thought to myself: man.. they FINALLY got rid of the name on the dial and I really like the twin flag logo. I’m in. Just ordered one yesterday (38mm black on bracelet).

Here’s the crazy part, OP… I completely forgot I had a CW forum login but got the “this user already exists” when I tried to create. Turns out, June of 2019 is when we both had CS issues with repair work, and we both swore off CW.

How crazy it is that just a few days apart, the same exact new release watch brought both of us disgruntled customers back here after THREE YEARS! That blew my mind haha

Welcome! I'm new to the scene, but come into it as my dad was of the same opinion, lovely watches that you aren't afraid to wear. He's got 2 and I'm just dipping my toe in the water.
