Here are some additional details Chris gave me about the Aviator:

I asked him about the case material of the Aviator. He said ...

"we put a heavy dull finish on the watch to replicate the first pilots watches made in 1936....It is heavily brushed but it is 316L"

About the movement, he said ...

"It's a higher grade 2824 [in comparison to the Malvern Automatic]....the rotor is skeletonised ...has a CDG polish, and the movement is rhodium finished with a pearl polish, and blue screwed.... turned out well me thinks..."
