Hi Gill,

I'm terribly sorry to hear of your loss. By any expectations, he was way too young for this to have happened. My deepest sympathies to you and all his family, it is a very hard thing to deal with the sudden loss of someone in the prime of life.

A special thanks also for letting the forum know what has happened as I have at times wondered what has become of former members who have stopped contributing.

I can really empathise with you as I lost my younger brother six weeks ago at the still young age of 52, also to a sudden heart attack. 39 is that much harder. To use your own words: my funny, warm, generous and, at times, infuriating brother, Tony. It describes him perfectly, just as you've described Richard.

Please accept my heartfelt wishes to you in dealing with the loss.

All the best,
Gary

I am shocked and saddened. 39 years is too young. He was building quite an eclectic collection and improving his watch fixing skills. A valued member of the forum and a really nice guy.

I haven't posted for some time, but I felt it right & proper to break my silence in order to express my condolences.

39 is no age at all.....I have socks older than that!

My thoughts go to Richard's family at this time.

Like village, I've had less time lately to be around on the forum, so haven't been posting much, although I have checked in now and then when time allows.

As such, it was sad to log on and read the news, and moving to read Gill's post about her brother.

Cirrus was one of the names we all saw often on the forum, and one that when you're new around here you look out for, as his posts were always ones to read, along with the other forum stalwarts.

RIP Richard, and condolences to Gill and the rest of the family.
