A Couple of New (to me) Old CWs

Post by StrapMeister »

So I have just managed to pick-up a couple of the rarer early CWs...
First up was a C80 Sector

This watch has a significance for me in that my Aunt (a WWII Wren) worked in the RAF Ops room where these sector clocks were used.

Secondly was a C5 RAF Battle of Britain 6B/159

This watch has a significance for me in that both my Dad and Uncle (his brother) were both RAF.

Good to see two older models finding a good home. That they hold significance for yo is even better.

Congratulations on the acquisitions.

Great timepieces. I particularly like the Battle of Britain C5. To my eyes it is a simple but dignified watch. One to wear with pride.

Two great purchases, well done, particularly with the family connections.

I have owned a C80 Sector and currently have a C5 Battle of Britain LE. Really like them both. Trust you enjoy yours.

Thanks for the comments

When I get a chance I'll take some more pics.

I'm going to be wearing the C5 on Sunday to the local service - "Lest we forget"
