Kip, I've contacted two companies who sell watch-cases, but I didn't get the cooperation I was hoping for. So I am going to contact a few more companies who sell watch-cases. If you or anybody else has any suggestions I am glad to hear them!

I like a watchcase with some extra space for straps, cuff links etc.
It's better to store them with the watches then in another box.

Have you contacted Rapport? They might be a bit on the high end, but maybe some free publicity to watch collectors might compensate.

I've been looking at watch winders, but they're so expensive and I don't know the difference between them and the cheaper ones. I've asked Chris Ward if he could do a short note regarding what to look for. I don't know if he'll reply. At least with a CW or Forum winder we know that we're not being ripped off. I'm looking just for a single winder. I had this idea that maybe interconnecting single winders could possibly satisfy demand between those who want to accomodate a lot of watches and those who only want just one. I'm looking for an effective utility not for a luxury item.

May I direct you to this website ewatchbox.com. It's an American site and they are selling Steinhausen watch winders at a very reasonable price. single watch winders at $73, which equates to about £37 sterling. An amazing price! The multiple watch winders cost much more of course, but I've only been tracking the single type. I am thinking of asking my Cousin in The States to buy one for me and bring it over to Europe in March. The only problem is the adapter, but presumably I can get an adapter plug to fit UK requirements. The reason I am writing is that if this American site is able to offer these very reasonable prices (and presumably make a profit), maybe a company like Steinhausen could provide a very reasonable wholesale price, because it seems that the margins on these products may be quite large.

Steinhausen make rubbish, Chinese watches under a foreign name. I don't trust them to house my collection.

Fair enough. That's good to know. I thought Steinhausen were a respected name in watch winders.

Steinhausen and Stauer just bought a dead brand name so they can give their crap a history.

Have done, could go either way. How do you interpret it?

Maybe and definitely 32 - 33 in favour of with,
Definitely 14 - 16 in favour of without.
Anyhow do they call you Hans?
I have to say Daz, I really like some of the watch boxes, they look worth the money IMO :) Maybe keep the poll running!
