yes, complete troll. not worth bothering with.

i avoided twitter for a while. i've found that following the right people gives me some interesting information that i wouldn't likely find otherwise. i follow a handful of sports reporters, a few work-related folks (either architecture or graphic design), and a couple of interesting translational health doctors (eric topol, in particular). topol has linked me to some fantastic articles about how technology is reshaping healthcare, a lot of interesting, cutting edge stuff. and definitely things i'd never have known about if i wasn't following him.

the key, i think, is keeping the list compact enough that it is easy to follow and not to follow anyone who posts trite stuff.

Twitter is a great tool - many good reasons to use it - the issue with the user is not itself a reflection on the platform - there are idiots on all platforms!

The CWL products stand up by themselves. We know where they are made and what goes into them. It is no concern of someone on twitter, [appropriately named] to besmirch the good name of a company that tries and works very hard to establish itself with honest products and a global market.

The advantage of Twitter is clear, it is a quick and efficient way to keep your followers up to date with what you are up to. Importantly, it lets followers communicate with you too. For that reason it is a powerful tool, however in the hands of an 'idiot' it can also be a divisive and misleading. Twitter like any social platform will be populated by self styled gurus who think they know better. Unfortunately they invent tags which appear plausible and quickly can establish a large following and before not long have caused a great deal of damage.

IMO we should not ignore these people but challenge and expose their views otherwise we are condoning them. :(

I'll wager he's enjoying the attention this thread is giving him.

Best to ignore.

I agree but CWL might want to take legal action if it continues.

Absolutely, so surely best to leave the matter to CW and their Legal Team rather than fan the flames here.

One of the reasons i returned to the forum was the realisation that I was not prepared to put up with people who think they know better but show no intelligence or add substance to their argument. Indeed, it's CWL's prerogative as to what they want to do re this twitter. However, I'm proud of myself that I challenged this guy on Twitter and got a response where he thanked me for expressing my opinion of CWL. Whether it makes any difference who knows but at least I challenged. :)

what highway said. and by adding to his hashtags, you add validity (at least in his mind) and let him know what he's doing is adding something valuable.

don't feed the trolls. if most people would leave them alone, only the most persistent would stay.

I'm sure that Chris is up to speed on this subject and that Kip is helping him. I will get involved after this week.

In general I agree about feeding the trolls, but this guy has no scruples and doesn't even seem to do what he portends to be there for.

He has declined the 2 offers to join the forum. I believe because he cannot stand the heat of a confontation. That is now obvious to me, and hopefully to others.

I believe by confronting him and inviting him here, we are now on the record and he has brushed us off. That is probably all we can do, but at least if anyone else looks they can see his juvenile responses as well.

I don't care whether he likes CWL or not, or any other brand. If he chooses to favor high end as he states, that is okay. He just needs to stop throwing harmful and baseless allegations out there at random against any company he doesn't like.
