6.5" wrist, C60... 38mm vs 40mm
I have the same 6.5 inch wrist and my preference is for the 38mm on bracelet, but 40mm on the strap. I have both sized watches for the Trident Pro.
The 38mm on a strap looks a little too small and the 40mm on bracelet is on the large side.

I'm certain I've posted this photo before, but I can't find the thread.
Photo from when I owned the SKX013 and mk2 38mm C60. From what I can remember, the C60 bezel/dial diameter is a couple of mm bigger than the SKX as can be seen and as such, wears bigger on the wrist.
IIRC, the dimensions of the mk3 38mm C60 are pretty much the same as the mk2.

That thought had occurred to me. The Sealanders all look great, and the GMT looks brilliant, but I'd still probably want the diver. Honestly though, if the first CW watch lives up to expectations, there will be a second and a third anyway. I mean, it's not like I'm traveling or going to dinner or going to shows anymore.. gotta spend the money on something.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 8:52 am If it doesn’t have to be a pure dive watch you could split the difference with a C63 Sealander Auto or GMT, both 39 mm.

I currently have a C5 Malvern mk1 being 38 mm it is a great size. However, I still undecided about either a 38mm or the 40mm C60. Most of the time I wear my watches on NATO's. I will probably visit CW Towers to compare them side by side.

My wrist is quite small at 6 3/4". My smallest watch (other than one vintage watch I own) is 36mm, and the largest is 41mm. What fits depends on more factors than case size. Lug to lug is important as is bezel width and shape of case. In theory the OP should have no problem wearing a 40mm, there are a few designs that may look a little large.

I received a 40mm C60 PRO, and it seemed so small that I thought had been sent a the 38mm version. I used my calipers to confirm it was 40mm. My wrist is +- 6.75 inches depending on the day. I sent it back because it didn't seem to have the right proportions for me.

Not fast enough to catch out the moderators though it seems

38, 40, 41. I think even if they wear large or small, if you spend long enough with a watch you get used to it. The main thing is that it feels comfortable.
A static image doesn't often help judgement I don't think, it never seems to represent how you or others see it as it is worn from various angles that shape the overall view.
Re: 6.5" wrist, C60... 38mm vs 40mm
After reading all of the posts on this thread, and much rumination, I realized that the 38mm would be a safe fall back position, and that the 60/60 plan basically took the risk out of taking a chance on the 40mm. So, I went with the 40mm. The 47.5mm doesn't own my wrist real estate, and it actually feels pretty comfortable. I do not have buyer's remorse. I'm happy I took the chance. Thanks for all the discussion. You all helped me.

You made the right choice, and it looks perfect
Considering wrist shots usually make watches look bigger than in real life, I wouldn't have gone for anything smaller. Also, it's a handsome watch - one of CW's classics.

If you hold your wrist up to your chest you will find your watch looks even smaller and more proportional than if you look at it while it is on a desk or table.Skypooch wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 9:26 pm After reading all of the posts on this thread, and much rumination, I realized that the 38mm would be a safe fall back position, and that the 60/60 plan basically took the risk out of taking a chance on the 40mm. Here's my 38mm C600 GMT on my scrawny 6" wrist
I think it looks great but I do have some bigger watches that look fine too. the traditional way of measuring watches (across without the crown) is only one part of the story. Thickness and lug tip to lug tip is also key..
