Thanks so much for that link; it was great to watch all the way though.

Would be great to see something like this while maintaining the same beat rate. Curious in general if they’ll lean more heavily into the engineering/technical side.
This won't happen from CW but Sellita is working on a replacement for the SW200. It remains to be seen if the PR will be higher than the SW300s 56 hours.

This is a really good interview from Crown and Caliber from Nov 2022.

As the current SH21 stands, absolutely. But is it not the idea with SH21.2 that it will be more compact?
Of course whether compact enough for the Twelve is another thing again. Thinness is key for it. We shall see.
I’m no longer sure whether speculation about any future SH21 movements is fuelled by wishful thinking or by hints dropped by CW.

I would love to see an in-house chronometer movement, preferably hand wound or with a hand wound option, small enough to fit into the slim rectangular or tonneau watch I was talking about earlier.
What I would like to see is a stylish, slim and elegant rectangular or tonneau hand winder.
Power reserve is not an issue for me, because of the way I wear watches, but I accept that it is a key criterion for others. I would happily sacrifice PR for a smaller and slimmer movement.

I'm on board with that.
However I think Marketing will struggle with the idea of 'we updated our movement with a shorter PR'.
For mine, the now 'industry standard' 72 hours is enough. And COSC for this of course.

Two unknowns: What is the future production capacity? Where do they want to take it?
Personally I'd like to see CW's in-house in a wider variety of watch models, not just short-runs.
So whether it's Twelve, Trident, Sealander, whatever, there's a model with SH21 as an 'upgrade' version.
That would be a real milestone for the brand. But is that possible?

Although CW has strayed a little from the good/better/best lineup I think a move to have all 'best' watches have the inhouse movement would be a strong showing (if at all possible).

I also agree, it would be really nice to see SH21-2 watches be regular production models.

I imagine they would have long waits like the Bel Cantos but it’s a step in the right direction.

There were open series SH21 models in the past, so I think it would be a good expectation for SH21 V_2 open series models in the future.

I wonder, though, how much the supply issues that have caused delays to the C63 Snow Leopard and Blue Marine have impacted the potential launch of the SH21 V_2.

It's all well and good designing and developing an enhanced movement, but it's not helped if you can't produce it in the required numbers.

I’d like to see some dressier watches in the lineup. Perhaps some additional C1 cased SH21.2 powered offerings. Perhaps a different approach with the 38mm C65 case as well, a small seconds perhaps? Both Longines and Chopard have new releases that have captured my attention.

Some other dial colors for the existing models would be welcome. Thinking of the all green Aquitaine that’s being offloaded, were it a green dial with a black bezel I’d likely pick one up, but as all green it is too much to my eyes. Mike France had indicated the new Aquitaine bezel permitted greater flexibility in hue so more varied colors of Aquitaines would be welcome.

A matte case, more 'toolish' style diver, can't see it though.

Developing an in-house chronograph is a matter of a few million swiss francs and four or five years development time. I doubt if CW have the scale financial or engineering-wise to do this. A chronograph module on the SH21 might be cheaper and quicker but is still a monumental task (and would not be the slim watch people seem to be dreaming of).

I would love to see the C60 Mk 4 but the success of the "Twelve" and Pro 300 might mean that this model drops off the future product list entirely. The trend for small watches may well be another nail in the Mk 4 coffin.

I'd like to see how CW can increase their production capacity to allow for further growth but investment on that scale is a big decision and can be very disruptive.

I'm most looking forward to the "Concept" hinted at in the last edition of Loupe even if it isn't called a "Concept".

I’d love to see Aquitaines with colored faces but with either metal or bronze bezels instead of matching the plate color. I love the green one but the green bezel is too much/limiting.

I’d also love to see the Mk IV as a slightly beefier, 600m, matte bezel watch that takes some of the styling cues that I think have made the 300 Pro so successful (fixed inner bezel, logo, date placement). Perhaps add the new applied twin logo to differentiate it further from the 300, too.

The current C60 #tide is nearly there, and I almost bought one in preference to my blue 300 Pro. Do it in black with a matte dial and bezel and take my money…

All this goes for the titanium Elite, too, though it seems to be regularly wait-listed, so the refresh doesn’t seem as urgent. The 600s have been left hanging through two clearance cycles now.

I’d like to see:
-The Twelve titanium with non fume dials, preferably dark green and black
-Trident 300 40mm in titanium (compete with Pelagos 39)
-Integrated rubber straps with deployment clasp, preferably cut-to-size

Asked about this via email and there's no plans for 39mm :(

Don't completely lose hope. In my experience, CW customer service are the last to know. Back a few years ago I asked if older models of the C65 were going to have a screw down like the then newly released C65 World Timer had. They said no. Then a few months later all of the C65 Divers, the C65 Trident GMT and the Dartmouth V1 all got screw down crowns.
