I think the twist is CWL would offer up their design. Wasn't that how the C60 FLE and C20 FLE worked? Arguably the most successful FLEs?

Probably the best choice at this point would be to let CW give us a choice of two or three different dials to vote for from a watch of their choosing. Their process and choices but our decision. Still custom and limited edition but easier and less of a headache for all. It could still be fun and special once a year.

That could work.

Or, as St-rider posted earlier - a range of head to heads working down to a winner like Heuer http://www.calibre11.com/inside-the-201 ... tavia-cup/
2015 FLE, 2013 FLE, C60 Black, C11 Makaira Pro 500 Blue, C8 Pilot Mk II, , C7 Rapide MK I, C4 Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Corum Admirals Cup
Stowa 1938 Chronograph
Vintage Certina

If there is a future forum FLE would we be able to choose the placement and alignment of the logo?

Given that was effectively just a dial change.
So maybe something again like the 2012 FLE blue scooter & red jag based on current watch with unique colour dial.
Would appear simplest/easiest option with any choice made by poll (or similar to recent Tag Heuer online selection of new Autavia).
More than just being a limited edition only.. I believe the dial needs to be more than a plain simple dial and needs more interest in it...not busy but tastefully decorated. That is evident with the Blue LE sell out even though it is not a typical diver or sports watch. The trident classic C65 is/was listed as a dress watch.

I'm new to the forum, the brand, and to watches in general, but I hope someone figures out a way to make this feasible again. Looking through the history of this forum and the previous FLEs, it has been fun seeing how CWL interacted with and reacted to members here. And, the small variations are just fun.

I'll be keeping a close eye out for the start of 2017's FLE process....

I agree - a ribbed blue or white dial like the Nautilus (and the Tag Aquaracer) would be great.

It's like deja vu all over again! And the 2015 FLE wasn't designed by committee.

Certainly was! That's because it was what the majority of those who participated voted for. And why this member bought into it. Don't forget that if enough people had voted for the yellow sports watch it would have won. They didn't so it didn't. Thankfully. :D

Only the C60 was offered. We then picked/voted on some options.

Here's an idea. FLE 2017 a new model which has the new logo but with the original Christophe Ward logo! Eg C65 Trident MkII with original logo. Should be exclusive.

No way that's happening in a million years.
