Re: 1st CW but which
My first CW was also for my 40th birthday. Went for a C700 on leather strap after visiting the showroom and trying a few different watches out. A really lovely watch and I have been more than happy with my choice.

Re: 1st CW but which
Hopefully I have resolved this choice ordered a C700 in the NN sale and a C7 Bluebird on the leather strap to keep it company on its way to mine
Thanks all for the input

C700 Grand Rapide
C1000 TYPHOON FGR4 CERAMIC
Or perhaps a cheeky combo of the Bluebird with one of the other two - I'd always thought watch 2 would be a speed master but I'm very interested in CW.
I would say this is a good start....just the Typhoon left!Zermatt wrote:Hopefully I have resolved this choice ordered a C700 in the NN sale and a C7 Bluebird on the leather strap to keep it company on its way to mine

Don't buy a C11 Makaira Pro. I want to be unique! :D:D;)

I too am new to the CW brand, I wish I had logged on earlier to get more of the NN offerings, I was thinking of a Trident GMT, how well lumed are they ? I was hoping for an option that lasts through the night. Does it vary between watches or models ? I have read a few comments suggesting lume is a weakness for CW

Re: 1st CW but which
The Trident is pretty good lume but I don't think ANY brand would last an entire night. However, I do recall seeing something someone had that may have provided some type of low level signal that may have powered the lume on the hands of a sports watch. Sorry but I do not recall who that may have been and have lost my "favorites" list with a computer replacement so the only thing I can recommend is that you google for what you are seeking. However, to whett your thoughts, here is a link to a paint that glows when a small charge is applied to it...SUPER COOL (and I assume that this is what someone used to make the watch I had recalled seeing)Chronofan wrote:I too am new to the CW brand, I wish I had logged on earlier to get more of the NN offerings, I was thinking of a Trident GMT, how well lumed are they ?
