I think we should just accept that the actual cost of a CW watch is 15 per cent less than the advertised price. They are obviously priced accordingly so anyone paying the advertised price is just not paying attention. No doubt this latest offer is the reason for the delay in reservations for the 2013FLE.

That doesn't sound right... even if you deduct 15% of the ex-VAT price and then add 20% VAT you get 424.15 not 436. I wonder if they are applying the discount to the item but not the postage? Call customer services and ask ;)

I would hope the difference in cost of a CW watch is a lot more that 15% of the sale price, or their sales model sucks ;)

I will do if I decide to the pull the trigger - I wonder if Mr 10% C900 noticed he's not quite getting 10% off :)

If you are referring to the price of the FLE and/or being subject to a discount, then you are incorrect.

If you are referring to an anticipated increase in sales volume and resulting internal activity, then it might be partially to blame.

AFAIK it has always been the case on CWL's system that the discount applies to the basic price but the VAT is always charged at the original price. Not sure if it should be that way but it is.

It wasn't like that for me when I got a C3 in the 15% Last Few Remaining offer in October. That just simply took 15% off the total price including VAT, as you'd expect.

1. Can't be like that as that would be illegal

2. As CWL are retailing and not wholesaling a 15% discount should be applied to the list price but not the postage.

eg if watch is 300 quid then price should be 255 plus postage.

And indeed Christopher Ward is applying the discount to the full price of the watch, as I would expect!!!

That is what credit cards are for.

It is 15% off the whole price but due to the way CWL displays it looks like they are only taking the discount of the pre VAT price but it all comes good in the end when you order.

Also if you take a price without VAT and do a 15% discount and add 20% on for VAT and take a watch with VAT already added and take off 15% you will find it is the same price. The wonders of arithmetic and percentages. :D

No discount on postage. Nor is there a discount on the service that Wera gives. It is still 110%.

I know....they are how shall we say untouchable at the moment lol so I'll have to skip this offer :(
I'll still use my £50 off voucher on the 20th when I'm paid though ;)

Oh I agree, Wera's customer service is always 110% :)

Seems to be working correctly now, must've just been a temporary anomaly... :D . I think I'll have to buy something now.... But I might hang on for the C11 COSC, I just really like that yellow lume.
