Very nice, and clear piccys 8) The mov't does indeed look very good, and I'm sure all have them have been done the same.

As said, you will probably need to be looking at the mov't thru a magnifying glass, or loupe to see the detail clearer, but I'd be VERY suprised if the Cotes de geneve wasn't there!!

Hi all, Thank you for the tips, I have tried under bright light , like a saddo under every light in the house. Will wait until can get a magnifying glass. I can not believe how clear it is on the photos though.

Thanks

One more I promise. soef, I do not think you have set something off. It was me. I am just very new to this watch thing and I am inquisitive. I am not unhappy with my watch. Sorry if I gave that impression to anyone.

Can you see decoration on your watch with your naked eye?

Hi SoC

One of the best ways to see the decoration is with a torch. That way, you can keep the watch still, and easily move the light source around, to see if you can catch the lines in the light.

by the way, gutted for MUFC  (only kidding!)

The decoration can clearly be seen with the naked eye on my C5 which is a smaller movement so you should be able to see it without a torch or a magnifying glass otherwise it totally defeats the object of it.

Son of Cantona

I've just looked at your pictures posted and it DEFINITELY hasn't got the decoration

The decoration is visible with naked eye and it indeed seems to be different than what is shown on the net and in the brochure.

Maybe the standard is the one as pictured on the site, and this 'extra decorated' version has slipped thru the net??

I think it looks very good as 'standard' :)

Monkey is correct here. The standard movement is what is shown on the website and looks quite nice IMO.

Soef is a fortunate one in getting a more decorated movement.

CWL now has a policy of showng the movements in the way they are most likely to be shipped. If while working with their suppliers they buy, or have to buy more decorated movements to keep up with demand or have more decorated samples available, it only makes sense for them to use them as long as they are equal to or better than the ones shown... even if the cost to CWL is more.

I don't see how anyone can complain if they recieve something better than expected and those of us that recieve what we expected should be satisfied.

Whoa whoa,

I am not complaining. I was being inquisitive. I have had response from Mr Ward (Kip you must have had the same email) and am 120% satisfied with his explanation. Soef as stated was lucky to get a decorated movement, good on him. Also it has nowt with cotes de thing it is merely just decoration.

I would like to publicly thank Chris 'Thank You Chris' . I already knew and some have pointed out my watch is as per website..... Surely I am able to ask the question.... Am I not?

Off to play COD 2 now.

My apologies. I did not mean to insinuate that anyone was complaining.

My intent was to just set the record straight as to why this movement was shipped.
